The Commander Eladamri, Lord of Leaves is one of the strongest elf lords of all time. Leading his army of elves, he guides them through dark forests, raging infernos, and packs of wizards. Giving all other elves both shroud and forestwalk, Eladamri creates a strong force to be reckoned with.
The Deck
With an army of elves, helpful tutor spells, and planeswalkers, this deck works to search out what helps it win and safely implement key elves like Ezuri, Renegade Leaver behind Eladamri's shrouded curtain. Once a considerable board presence is gained, cards like Overwhelming Stampede assure victory for the many elves on the field.
Wow! Thanks for all the feedback.
Okay, I'll take these one at a time, but to start off, I'd like to say I'm not much of a high-budget player, and my local hobby shop is pretty crummy. So, I don't have access to many good cards. With what I've done, my strategy is thus: I get out one or two good strong cards (Thrun, the Last Troll or Hero of Bladehold) then do everything to keep it alive (Aegis Angel, Swiftfoot Boots, control like Beast Within) until that card can win. It's basically mid-range and control, not really ramp.
@priminator:
I stand corrected. Having played the deck a bit more, I realize it is not in any way shape or form a ramp deck. But, that being said, I have Primeval Titan in there because of twofold: 1) He can drop down my Stirring Wildwoods for two 3/4's reach (I'll get to that later) and 2) He can fuel all the activation and regenerate costs of my creatures (Skinshifter, who IS a 2-drop and my trolls). I have the Chancellor in there because as my deck doesn't get too many creatures, I normally don't have defenders to stop something big if anything's coming at me. I use him for the early mana plus the fact that he has vigilance AND reach, because I also can't stop too many flying creatures. I admit, I do have a lot of 1-ofs and 2-ofs, but that's because of the reason above, low budget and low access to cards. I'll take a look at this deck...
Okay, yeah. WAY out of my budget. Thanks for the comments, though!
@TheBigGamer:
I wish I had more Skinshifters
As I said, my hobby shop isn't the best, so I don't have access to cards like that unless I pull them from packs. Also, I don't have 4 Dungrove Elders, I only have 1. But, he's a bit underpowered in this deck unless I go mono-green, which I'm trying to avoid. He only gets about 3 or 4 per game, unless I get a PT, which you told me to take out. Is there anything else you could suggest I put in?
@mabberman:
Swords
again, budget. Plus, I'm not a fan of the Caw-Blade technique. I'd rather not use them, even if I could.
The basic idea of the deck is thus:
Turn 1-2: get out two or three mana creatures (Birds of Paradise and Avacyn's Pilgrim) or one or two mana creatures and a Skinshifter. Skinshifter holds off your opponent as a major threat, while Swiftfoot Boots and my removal (Oblivion Ring and Beast Within) keeps my opponent in check. If I don't have enough creatures or they begin to overpower me, a quick Timely Reinforcements helps me out.
Once I get to the point where I comfortably have control of the board, I cast my winners: Thrun, the Last Troll, Hero of Bladehold, or Garruk, Primal Hunter, which will normally win me the game.
But what about the mana creatures? I used to always have problems with having leftover creatures that had no use. But Innistrad came out, and Gavony Township with it. Using cards like Mikaeus, the Lunarch or the Township, not only do my winner cards get pumped up, but my mana creatures gain power, too, making them good defenders and attackers.
I once won the game with 3 Avacyn's Pilgrims and a Gavony Township.
The problem is that it hasn't got mythics in it, and its returning a null value which causes the error. ill work on it right away.
Does this problem only come up exclusively with this set?
EDIT: after considering all my issues, I've figured out there's only really one issue: Even if the names.txt file has 330 names, the application will pull 331, which causes 404 errors and things being outside bounds, and just all kind of strange problems. For example, Classic Sixth Edition should work. It shouldn't have any problems, but it does, because the index is outside of the array whenever it tries to pull certain cards. Another example, Mirage won't give me multicolored cards because the basic lands are mixed into the set.
Other than this, if it could be fixed, the program would be (and still is) amazing!
you can make a set of your own, just follow the example in your
C:\Program Files\Pack Sim\M12 Core Set\names.txt
you need to, one by one, list the names of all cards according to the card number. dont include basic lands
You dont need basic land files either. After the auto download and the error comes up, restart the app it should work fine. Can you share your future sight expansion so i can fix/use it?
I did have the names.txt (180 lines) and it still didn't work. When I went into the folder, there was always a 181.jpg that the application tried to pull but couldn't. Looking into the M12 Core Set, the land jpg's were in there. So, not exactly knowing the code, I don't know what's going on. And... I deleted the Future Sight, but I guess I can pull it from my Recycle Bin... Here it is:

*Edit: same problem with Planar Chaos
I think the core of the issue (and why I can't fix it) is the fact that the card images have spaces before the number, and I can't synthesize my own files for it to use. If you could let me know how to do this, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your help!
ps just an idea, but I've decided for the pre-Shards sets I'll do rare legendaries and planeswalkers (lorwyn) for the Mythics. Is this a good idea?
I have a vista, and I can't get this to work on the computer. It works up until I say "use" for the first time, and it says "unhandled exception has occured" when talking about the WebClient request. Could I have some help?
*Edit: Never mind. I got it to work. Awesome program! Does anybody have the files for sets they've made?
*Edit2: I can't get Future Sight to work. Your pack simulator doesn't work if the set doesn't have basic lands, which Future Sight doesn't.
