So I've been trying to make this deck work and it doesn't wanna so I figured there might be someone that could help me it seems pretty durdly right now but i'd like it to work because i <3 jund midrange so I would really appreciate it if someone with more experience playing french edh would help me so here it is:
This has been the same argument from the left for years in states that have very strong anti gun laws, and it has not worked. Their crime levels with firearms present are generally higher that states with weaker gun laws in the aggregate. Targeting the gun retailer is false reasoning cause it is just a cash cow for lawyers in that realm. With you reasoning, we should shut down computor companies for mass loss of money from computor viruses and hacking. Our problem are crazies or mentally ill getting their hands on firearms, knives, and explosives. People around these individual know they are mentally ill and no one will or can do anything about it.
I also agree to some extent that guns should be legal, not all guns mind you but most guns, what I take issue with is your claim that it's all the "crazies" fault certainly there have been people with mental issues that have done crimes but most of those who have done these types of violent crime looked completely sane and may have been said to be "sane" even if they would have been examined by a psychologist, but
they were just extremely evil individuals such as the cases where the things they would have done would have to been planned out months or years in advance which isn't something a "crazy" would have done studies have shown that people who have been labeled "mentally ill" are more likely to commit an act of violence to someone close to them why? because it is a kind of spur of the moment thing that most likely they would not do again also most "crazy" people wouldn't do that kind of act in the first place as you or I wouldn't,I really dislike the stereotype that pervades in our country that just because someone is labeled as "crazy" that they are dangerous and I dislike your call for the "crazies" to have actions taken against them even before they have ever done anything wrong it's just another form of hateful bigotry, also did you know that more disabled or "crazy" individuals have violence perpetrated against them each year than those who commit these atrocities, in short I would advise you to quit listening to republican propaganda and being bigoted to those who are supposedly socially "acceptable" targets and start looking at the world the way it is in reality.
I picked ephemeron because it doesn't tie you down to any one thing and only puts you in one color as well as being a must answer bomb that is going to make them have to deal with it or die and also puts pressure on your opponent to hold back removal protecting your other guys sure I could have picked removal but in limited i like to be in the drivers seat NOT the one who has to answer the questions.
What people seem to e forgetting though is that they actually have reprinted a card they called a mistake and it was a lot more powerful than JTMS will ever be: Necropotence.
As a commander, Braids, Cabal Minion puts tremendous pressure on the board. If she ever lands on the battlefield by turn 3 - which is quite likely given the acceleration you would put in the deck - the opponent risks being locked at 3 lands at most, and that's if they play a land each turn and you don't play additional land destruction like Sinkhole or Rain of Tears. If you manage to play her on turn 2, it's most likely game right then. These were the reasons of her banning a few years ago.
Now, she has been tested recently to see how she fared in the new, faster environment. Many decks have had to adapt to Edric, Spymaster of Trest by running lots of cheap answers to creatures, which are still played even though Edric has been banned. What we found out was that matchups were relatively even. Some decks are even quite successful at fending off the pressure.
However, the games against Braids end not when you're at 0 life, but when you lose your last permanent. While a few players might enjoy playing against Braids, her effect is so game-warping that playing against her with even a slightly untuned decklist is both difficult and very frustrating.
Because it would be quite unfortunate that someone would build Braids in a fledgling Duel Commander group and thrash their friends and disgust them, it has been left on the banned list.
Daniel
Seems like faulty reasoning to me, if she is fair against good decks doesn't that mean that she's fair? Shouldn't players be expected to play good decks? also if you thrashed your playgroup shouldn't that cause them to want to improve meaning they are more interested in the format? I'm not trying to argue here just think you may want to reconsider if the deck that she enables really is fair.
Ok so this bugs me people always say "Dies to removal isn't an argument"
It isn't.
Unless that removal cripples you so bad that it makes you lose or makes you lose something that you have invested lots of resources in like time, cards,or life then it counts more than anything that that card could have possibly contributed to you like this card does and THAT'S why this card is bad, also only one person in this whole thread remembered that putrefy is in standard in addition to all the other spells that are in standard that kill this,
this WILL see play if red decks are a thing after rotation, in red players sideboards for the mirror.
By that logic, a deck that could minimize the impact of Path to Exile could use Obliterator to great effect. Some kind of UB Control that maximized disruption and countermagic effects (maybe including Disrupting Shoal with 1 CMC cards like Sleight, Visions, Spell Snare, etc.). Off of a turn 2 Talisman you could see a turn 3 Obliterator, which is a sure stop to any aggro strategy that can't immediately Path him.
Then again, Obliterator also has vulnerability to Liliana. If only there were a reliable and decent way to give the guy haste.
EDIT: Originally had Obliterator coming into play off of a Signet, which just isn't going to happen.
What would make you think Spiritmonger would be in Theros?
Well it's a Bull-Human looking thing with big tusks and Theros will probably have a focus on things like Minotaurs( which it looks like) and also spirits plus it's a multicolored creature that pushes you to play more of certain colors of mana which is in line with both the mono color emphasis and also the previous blocks emphasis on multicolor, I admit I'm reaching but this Is baseless.
-If you are griping about how NWO Magic is teh suxz, complaining about the end of creativity, saying "I'm reconsidering giving them my money", then FREAKING DO IT ALREADY. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THE WHINERS ON THIS FORUM.
Why should we have to quit magic because we disagree that NWO is the best thing that eve4 happened to magic? Because you and people like you should have an opinion and that's it? I have a right to an opinion that is different than yours and to be able to speak that opinion whenever and wherever I so choose thank you.
STOP BEING ATTENTION WHORES!!!!!
you say that and then post this in GIANT ALL CAPS letters so who's really attention whoring here?
The solution is quite simple. If you don't like the way magic is like I do QUIT because I can't have people going around with different opinions than me.
JUST.
FREAKING.
LEAVE!
I am vaguely disappointed with the direction of the new slivers. I understand the mechanic change, specifically because M14 draft would have been insanity without it. I'm not a fan of the art. Wizards could have done better. That said, I do not feel personally betrayed, nor am I angry at them.
I am angry with the insufferable stuck-up snobs on this forum who insist that every set release should be tailored specifically to them. These are the people who have put up a "This Set Sucks" thread for all but three Magic expansions since Kamigawa block.
The people who look down upon stupid creatures and stupid aggro players and the mindless drudgery of the central mechanic in the game.
Again with the bashing people who like different things than you do, and aggro is THE easiest type of deck to play, probably the hardest thing to learn with decks like that is when to jam your next guy to avoid a wrath which any noob can learn extremely quick, it used to be that all the archetypes could exist side by side but thanks to people like you we have creature based this, creature based that and no real diversity other than what color of creatures to play.
People who think Stasis is a perfectly fair card that makes the game better for everyone. People who are somehow never satisfied yet keep coming back for more. That's not a hobby you enjoy; that's a psychological problem. Somebody earlier in the thread suggested bombarding Wizards with what (knowing you people) will amount to be hate mail regarding these slivers, asking them to get it right. Well, tell me then:
What was the last thing that Wizards got right?
Judging from the tone of this site, with comments about how the game's in the ****ter, I would say many of you don't have a single nice thing to say about the current state of Magic.
Why should we have to? I'm sure you would be quite vocal when something you loved was tore down around you? And again just because we have different opinions than you doesn't mean they aren't just as valid.
In the middle of arguably the best Standard season ever,
in your opinion you say this like it's an empirical fact, like no one disagrees with you,oh but wait you hate it when people do right?[/Quote]
where they finally fixed the power-balance issues,
Unless you don't like playing aggro or midrange.
put fairly minimal powercreep,
On everything but creatures where they made some of THE most overcreeped creatures ever.
loaded down the format with alternate win-cons,
Which are JOKES in comparison to how powerful creatures are.
and submitted a Return to Ravnica block that, if you take off the nostalgia-tinted glasses, was better than the original,
following on the heels of the best-designed block Magic has ever had in Innistrad.
They gave you Modern Masters--a cube draft! in booster packs! They gave you Theros, easily the most "epic" setting for a Magic expansion since Invasion block.
So? We haven't SEEN what those sets contain and I'm sorry but most people play for the CARDS not the FLAVOR.
And still it's not enough. The successes are taken for granted, and the failures are all that matters.
and they will be until this game is free to play I don't spend money on cards for failure and if I have to pay I expect success maybe you don't but I'm not rich and maybe you are?
Grow the **** up.
so I'm not grown up because I don't agree with your views, please, you should take your own advice.
In summation I'm tired of being told that it's not okay to hold a negative view of ,new coke, I mean magic and that those that like it have more of a right to an opinion than me it's pure hypocrisy and it stinks.
