Ive never actually had an issue trying to trade for non-foil fetches, but I always end up having to give up a modern/legacy staple usually with a shockland or something to even out the deal.
Goyf is easily the hardest card to trade for that actually sees play in modern. Most people who have goyfs for trade are either looking to trade it up as part of a deal for something more valuable, or are looking to trade it for some serious pimp. Most players do not have those kinds of cards, and as a result are left hoping the owner of the goyf is willing to trade it down, something most goyf owners will not do unless they gain serious value on the deal.
If none of your lands were foiled but most of your big finishers were, that would look suspicion upon deck inspection because people tend to cut to foils more easily.
Double-sleeving with perfect fits should reduce or eliminate any excessive curling.
This.
I took my foiled-out High Tide deck to a SCG Open earlier this year and had no issues about marked cards, even with 4 Merchant Scrolls that were quite warped. Double sleeving your deck with perfect fits makes all of your cards look and feel a bit thicker, and makes it significantly harder to distinguish foils from non-foils
There's a legacy tournament every Monday at 7:00 at JP Comics and Games in Jamaica Plain that I go to sometimes (website). You can use as many proxies as you want, which is cool. There's usually 6 to 12 people.
I do agree that the lack of Legacy is Boston is disheartening though. If anyone knows any other places that run stuff, I'd love to hear about it.
Whats the entry fee/prize support like? Ive been trying to find a local store to go to for a while for this kind of thing
Yes, just submit a deck code and your cockatrice username in this thread, then send a PM to LanternIQTeam with that information and your decklist, and be sure to do it by wednesday.
I would LOVE to see them bring back old borders in booster packs, both in foil and nonfoil versions. I hate the new border and would love to see cards like Liliana of the Veil printed in the old border
Also, if anyone wants my spot on the IQ Team let me know, with work I just don't have the time anymore.
And here I am completely unable to find anyone interested in my Delta... I'm trading away fetches left and right, but nobody seems to want my delta

It was a few years ago, but Saito took down a Legacy GP with UB Merfolk
Confirmed
