Whereas the other four walkers could reasonably fit into any deck. Nahiri's design is so narrow it hurts, her ultimate is insulting, her +2 is a worse version of frey's to anyone not decking a ton of equipment, and her -2 is, I would argue, a worse version of slobad2.0's. she's too expensive for what she does, and she dies to lightning bolt with the only justification being that her -2 is potentially retarded in voltron decks.
Her biggest sin is that she is just outright boring. Everything she does is abhorently underwhelming. I would have taken a reprint of any white walker we've seen printed so far over this. Hell, I'd take a color shifted tibalt over this.
I think her ultimate is over costed but she does not die to Lightning Bolt. By the time your opponent's can bolt her you can put on two loyalty counters with her +2, putting her safely out of bolt range.
Seriously, you were given a half goblin, half robot planeswalker, and you are complaining.
For real. He's awesome. He's a goblin pope for crying out loud, it seems silly to dislike him because he's not Jaya or a female or something silly like that.
Also, since I still hold hope that Slobad will be the 3rd "Commander" in the red deck (over Tuktuk who is a terrible choice for a commander), I wonder if they originally intended it to be Slobad but didn't want him in the deck as both a creature and a PW, so they printed a new goblin for the PW role. Not that I mind either way, I think this dude is pretty cool. I don't know if I'll use him as a commander over Feldon, but I'll definitely run him in the deck. This is just based on the fact that Slobad seems to fit the theme of the deck very well, from what we've seen.
When I need a sweeper to live, and my Augury shows me five lands, I won't be happy.
And to Steam Augury's Credit, if you look up at the top 5 and it's all lands then Steam Augury isn't what killed you. You just got screwed.
Isn`t this exactly why Vexing Devil bad?
Your opponent making choices is bad for you, but Vexing Devil isn't even really worth a card if he gets sacrificed and doesn't develop a board presence. This at least digs pretty deep.
I love how it says Magic may never be the same again. This reminds me of those obviously fake news stories my great uncle posts to FB all the time talking about how Scientists are discovering UFOs and hidden temples beneath the crust of the earth all the time. Realmagicspoilers indeed. At least it's not the lands though. I really think this website is a joke though.
Stumbled on this surfing some random artwork on deviantart.
From the artists description:
"Without doubt one of the high points of my career so far: being asked to design a planeswalker.
In the notes I was asked to design this dude with the notion that he's an insane shaman and his colors were blue, green and red.
That's pretty much all I can give away about this guy without dropping a bunch of spoilers on you."
Full details/description and the actual image and artist section can be found here:
You can cast Manic Vandal without any targets, he just will sit there, look for nothing to find, and shrug. You can cast Rootborn Defenses without any targets because it doesn't "target" anything. Even if there's nothing to populate you can still try to, just nothing will happen.
I think a good general rule of thumb here is that any card that says it targets when you cast it (like Naturalize) requires a target. You can't Naturalize with nothing to destroy (also, enchantments that enchant [something] will target. You can't Rancor with nothing to Rancor). Things like Manic Vandal and Indrik Stomphowler target when they Enter The Battlefield, meaning they don't need a legal target when they're cast, so even if there's nothing to target with their ability you can still play them.
I'm not really sure why we're getting an announcement for it is all...kinda seems like a waste. We know M14 is coming, so it's not really exciting. The only thing this does is give us "awkward sexy chandra". On the other hand...
The proportions on the art are ****ing terrible. More typical women-as-objects bull**** to cater to neckbeards who never get laid.

Based on this, you can. It's CMC is always 0 when it's on the field.

When we do get a RUG walker, I hope it's a guy a lot cooler than this guy.

This is a REALLY funny overreaction.
