I don't think it's the first time a card designed here very closely matched a card printed years and years later. I also think that the original page that posted this might be a spanish-language based page? So maybe the Frog name mismatch is just a translation error as well?
I still don't know if I really believe it though, to be honest. The thing I most believe is that tying it to Ikoria means that we're going to get a bunch of draft chaff shoved into the box, but I suppose that's not too far off from some of the original Commander decklists.
You ever notice how, whenever a character of one gender is dominating a character of a different gender in the art, it's always a female dominating a male? Why don't we ever see the reverse? It's hard to call it equal representation when the representation isn't actually equal.
wouldn't want to cause another ***** storm ala Triumph of Ferocity is my best guess.
All this talk about underdressed men and overdressed women, and speculation of sexuality, and whether Wizards is sputtering and failing or succeeding masterfully... I just think the leather pants look dumb. Fashion faux pas.
I mean, he's a fairy. Fairies are often underdressed. Who cares?
The thing that irks me about this isn't that the guy is kind of under dressed. It's more how smug Wizards comes across when they take their stance of putting girls in non-revealing and even shapeless clothes online sometimes because those things are "bad" but they have guys in revealing outfits all the time. It's eyeroll inducing and hypocritical to me.
20 bucks a booster pack is absolutely absurd, even if they do come with cool extended art cards or whatever. it's just too much money. I'd be much more onboard with it if they were cheaper, but as it is I don't like it.
So Mardu's legendary does not care about Mardu Aggro, and Abzan's legendary does not care for Abzan Tokens. Guess WB and it's ancilliaries are still being punished for the LoD winning those popularity contests they had to end up fixing.
WHAT
this is way better and much more interesting than the RUG and WBR legends. It's like night and day, WGB is a clear "winner" here.
You're wrong in situation one. Things on the stack resolve one at a time, and every player gets priority between them. Your Glistener Elf will go to the graveyard as a state based action before Become Immense can resolve, then BI will be countered because it has no more legal targets.
Your opponent made a legal play in situation 2 as well. In order to advance the game all active players have to pass priority while the stack is empty; that's the key to changing phases. Before your elf can do damage you need to go through the declare blockers phase to the combat damage step, so you will have to pass your opponent priority for glistener elf to deal damage, at which point they can hit it with Justice Strike.

It's easily my favorite of the bunch too.

I also like the idea of killing people with music. "Let me play you the song of my people."
