Question, I just pulled a second Gideon. Would this deck run a few or no? Seems like it'd be nice to have a ally trigger every turn but he doesn't really work with CoCo or Vial.

I'll be honest, After seeing it hit day two I'm looking into it hard. I've played Zoo and as much as I love wild nacatl, it just isn't doing it for me anymore. I started in Zendikar and I, for the longest time had a casual ally combo deck. I'm about to start reading past pages however I do have a question. The deck that made it to day two was only three color, Is there any real advantage over not going 5? I mean, you have the lands for it easy enough.

As far as I know, there has been 2 ally decks made to day 2, one in a GP and the most recent in the las SCG tourney and yes, both were naya colors.
I can see 3 reasons for running 3 colors over 5:
    - Stability
    - Blood moon
    - Non-ally spells (interaction and sideboard cards mainly) that you might not be able to cast reliably

I am currently running 4 colors and while the manabase is ok and I rarely have trouble for casting my allies, I see the non-ally spells I can cast reduced to green or white. I tried boros charm and dromoka's command but coulnd't get the mana 9 out of 10 games, which was very frustrating.

I could see that. The I would like to have some kind of kill card to be on the safe side. I would figure dromoka's command over others would be best. I was really interested in Drana though I know the black cards from ZEN and WWK were a bit over priced for the most part.

I've got to be honest, I'm just not super into CoCo. What would be an okay replacement? Counter spells? Draw?

Gah, ended up going 2-2 tonight. two decks that killed me were Affinity and a deck called cheerios. two decks I won against were a standard type deck and a burn deck. Any ideas vs cheerios?

I'm thinking of going bant, dropping coco and putting in some other card advantage along with some spells. Aside from Courser and maybe Jace/visions what other CA do we really have access too?

I have a few questions. I like the Zoo list i've been playing (its a very stock list), but my issue is that I often get into a top deck war with the higher tier decks and with so few spells I always tend to lose. A lot of my meta is easy enough, 8 rack, delver, and a few home brews but I'll often go 2-2 because there are a few twin decks and at least one jund, a few burn, and a few infect. How does Knightfall change our game vs those decks from what you can tell? Is staying no less then 25 creatures absolutely necessary? or would dropping to 24 and maybe 23 be okay?

I really like the idea of hangerback but I just don't know. Just looking at the list, it seems like Bant is going to be much slower then the Zoo version. Any thing to show me otherwise? Think there is a way to jam Hangerback into the Zoo version?

I'd love to hear what you think about Courser of Kruphix. I know it was being tossed around on the Combo thread but it seems like it'd be okay as a one or two of. Adding in a little bit of life every now and then and it's a little bit of card draw.

I haven't been able to watch too much sadly since I've been moving. Has anyone played cocozoo? I know I saw a burn/zoo deck yesterday.

What about cutting one knight and one smiter for two voice?

Just shuffling a few times with only 21 lands And I keep getting 1-0 land hands. I can't do it. I did drop down to 22 with 11 fetches and it seems alright.

I'm about to start standard as I've completed my modern deck and I'm really leaning towards this deck. It looks like a lot of fun. My question is, how does this deck do vs burn? Apparently a good chunk of the standard meta is burn.

The side board is more then a bit of a mess. Wasn't sure what do to with it as this was only the second time I've played it. Also, I'll warn you, I have a horrible memory but I'll tell you the highlights as best as I can remember.

    Round 1 vs infect
Game 1, bolt and Nacatl win everything.
Game 2, would have been the same as game one had I not forgot to play a land on my turn before he become immense'd
game 3, bolt and goyf do work.
    2-1

    Round 2 vs grixis control
games were really fast and simple. I don't know if he didn't really draw any creatures to block because aside from bolt and tasigur I didn't see much. Also, Tasigur ate a path every time and he never was able to do much.
    2-0

    Round 3 Burn (my ride)
Game 1, I draw all my Nacatls and he runs out of gas too soon.
Game 2, I don't see my fire walkers but my ScOoze does enough work to keep me alive through the burn he has and Dromoka's Command ends up being the major winner here. Having him sac his eidolon of the great revel and fight his swift spear was amazing.
    2-0

    Round 4 Robots
I've only play affinity/robots like 3 times in total and when I did I was playing infect. Not much to say here, game one I was killed with inkmoth Nexus + cranial plating. game two I didn't have any green after I got my Magus out because he killed my Noble.
    0-2

    Round 5 Twin
We knew if we drew we were both going into top 8 so we drew and just watched others play.

    Round 6 Coco Zoo
Game 1, Nacatl, Noble, and Kytheon in my opening with 2 lands and a bolt. drew into another creature and the opponent didn't seem to. I ended up getting to flip Kytheon and He did some major work in this match. I used him once or twice in a few other matches but he was a game winner. Near the end my opponent had a 4/5 goyf and I made him attack Gideon, CoCo'd into two 5/5 KotR and that ended that game quickly.
game 2, we honesly had very similar draws. Like, VERY similar. He fetches, I fetch, He coco's at the end of my turn, attacks, and I Coco. Just a lot of fun, but I ended up winning end the end.
    2-0

Got to top 4, we all split. I got 12 packs of origins (mostly junk) and $63. all in all I had a lot of fun and I'll be sure to keep playing Zoo! If anyone has a little bit of ideas on possible changes or a better side board hit me up!

(edited some spelling and added the last line.)

I went to an IQ yesterday. Top 4'd and ended up splitting. Only game I lost to was affinity/robots. Matches were infect, grixis control, burn, robots, and the mirror. I'll post my deck and every thing if any one is interested.
