Hi everyone. I generally play Soul Sisters but wanted to convert it to Proc build. Have about 3 different lifegain decks now. This is what i am currently going to make. Still have not got all of the cards. I may add Surgical Extraction like a lot have talked about, but currently out of my reach until i get more $$ almost all of the expensive cards like Flagstones of Trokair i already own.
i don't know, our suntail hawk is the best spirit in racing situation, it contributes to possibly 80%-90% of our turn 4-5 wins. I wouldn't even consider taking out what's been deemed as "the best creature in the deck", if not for curve purposes (we need a 1-mana creature). Tallowisp solves our mana curve issues and is good in defensive terms. building a list with him is rough, though. The first thing you'll notice is that Pacifism will probably substitute Path to Exile
Tallowisp builds are fun. Was running one for a while, but probably needs to be updated. It was doing great when I was playing with it but haven't been able to play in a couple months.
Did pretty good vs friends this week. Affinity got me with Etched Champion. I do pretty well against them except for him. Seems like a pretty good matchup so far though. Not enough time to play has been a big down fall. Keep making mistakes that lose me games sadly.
That's why I'm not a pro lol
Crested Sunmare has just been a fun card and can do a lot of damage if left alone. Even more if you can trigger life gain with Night Market Lookout on your opponents turn
First time posting in this thread but Not sure if mentioned but do you think the new Elenda, the Dusk Rose can be a good payoff. Possibly sac a couple creatures then sac her and then her tokens if they respond to her summon. Also possibly with her on the field. Rally then sac her then all of her tokens
I didn't like curiosity because it felt it needed to at least do something else. Thought the +1 might make it worth it. The extra draw just sounded nice,
Now testing Mark of Eviction so far I've used it to annoy people that use Delve, keep a creature with summoning sickness, extra draw for Tallowisp by bouncing spirits, and spellqueller returns if I don't care if card triggers anymore. It's slow but annoying and fun. Might make main deck if I can find room.
I've been rocking GB Elves for awhile now at my LGS and it's been doing very well there as well as on Cockatrice. I chose GB over GW or Abzan for a number of reasons. One is that the manabase is impeccable! It's so freaking easy and painless. Another is that if I wanted the Vizier/Druid combo, I'll just play Vizier Company. I have it on standby. I'm not arguing that the GW list isn't solid. Far from it. I understand the "oops, I win" factor/threat is a big deal. I understand that the silver bullet toolbox is the real deal too, and have heavily considered going Abzan because of it, although I haven't been able to justify doing that to the manabase. It's just preference, really. The deck runs like a top! It's extremely consistent, and can be very grindy if need be. Of course, Shaman of the Pack is just the tits. Dat reach tho. I know we all know the pros/cons of the different cultivars of this deck, and I'm not really sure why I bothered going into all that. I guess I felt the need to justify my decision since the GW version is the only one I see putting up tournament results/being played in higher level tournaments. Moving on.
I've been playing with 4x Lead the Stampede and I've been very happy with how it performs. A lot of the time it helps me to continue to "go off" with Heritage Druid shenanigans. It's amazing in the grindier/control MU's. Still, I've found myself missing Chord of Calling, so I've recently decided to run a 2x/2x split. I've been pleased so far.
The creature list is standard GB, and/but I'm running only 3x Elvish Visionary to make room for my 1-of super spicy tech (either Rites or Throne).
My land base is as follows:
So, I've been running Growing Rites of Itlimoc in my flex tech spot, and it's been really good at doing what it does, but I think if I'm being honest and objective I would have to say that when it hits and does its thing, I'm usually already elfballin'. I wanted to try out Throne of the God-Pharaoh because I like the reach that Shaman has and wanted to play off of it and add to it. The Chord's that I recently added also play nicely with Throne which influenced my consideration as well. What has been y'all's experience with Throne? I'd be interested to hear how it has performed for those who have tried it.
Some closing thoughts: Westvale Abbey is an all-star. That card has helped me pull some of the most unwinnable games straight out of my ***. What a phenomenal addition to the deck.
Also, I just wanted to say that my Llanowar Elves are all foil 7th editions, and that they add 1.25G to my mana pool when I tap them. Pretty good stuff.
As always, I appreciate any and all tips/suggestions/etc. Thanks for taking the time.
Your list is pretty close to mine. I split 2/2 lead, but picked Throne of the God-Pharaoh in my flex still. It's just fun to use and rarely hate seeing it. The extra burn just to me if fun and a faster clock than people think. I would say definitely test it.
What specific auras, with the exception of Steel, that we could run in conjunction with tallowisp? Pacifism seems interesting, but there must be better ones... Thoughts?
Threads of disloyalty seems interesting. Gift of Immortality? Are there any good flash ones?
Threads does seem strong where it applies. Tough casting cost, though. By my super small sample size, I have lost to Jund, Merfolk (I did punt this) and Eldrazi Tron. Threads would be great for the first two. Looking through auras that restrict blocking, attacking and activated abilities (there are a lot of them!), Arrest is more expensive, but provides more functionality than Pacifism.
There is a Tallow thread but here is my list I want to test with it.
The hard part is like some said it has to say exactly enchant creature or be an arcane
Here's my take on this deck:
I don't want to be doing anything on Turn 2 other than playing my second mana dork or Utopia Sprawl, so that I can play Doubling Season on T3. In fact, I don't want to do anything on T3 other than play Doubling Season, so I play 4 copies. I don't want any planeswalkers that don't either win the game on T4 or come down on T3 to help me survive and find the Doubling Season. For me, this deck is not about "playing a kooky fun superfriends deck", it's basically a sideways combo deck that cheats out Emrakul or the opponent's best cards... or both.
Speaking of helping me survive, the cards that make T3 Doubling Season possible also make T2/T3 Madcap Experiment into Platinum Empyrion very easy. I almost always side out the package once I know which hate to bring in.
My version is very streamlined and I find it quite fun:
That's definitely an interesting take. I've always been opposed to the "all-in" plan, though. I don't think of the version that only runs 2 Doubling Seasons as a kooky superfriends deck (though it sort of is), it's a deck that attacks at multiple angles. I mean, how do you win against enchantment destruction? What if you don't draw Doubling Season? Nahiri is good on her own, but Jace often isn't, and Tamiyo is only really good if you're playing creatures of your own that can attack.
The Madcap package is certainly powerful, but what does it specifically do for this deck? I guess it just buys you time while you assemble the combo, since most removal in modern is based on toughness or CMC. My main, worry, though is that you've tripled the number of cards you don't ever want to draw by adding in the Emperions alongside Emrakul. That's a lot of dead draws. I guess Nahiri helps, but still.
Clearly though, Double Moon Walkers isn't a tier one deck, so we need to experiment. And I do think this is one of the more compelling all-in builds, so I'll try it out on Cockatrice some time before I commit to acquiring 2 more Doubling Seasons.
PS: Madcap Experiment skips Emrakul because he's not an artifact.
Oh yeah Forgot thought he wasn't half asleep when I wrote that..

Doing good so far. It's fun and can hold my opponent back while I chip away at them.
If you could rally her and others for 6 she pretty much heavily interested the number of creatures you rallied.

U
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature gets +1/+1 and has "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, you may draw a card."
At the beginning of your end step, if you didn't attack with a creature this turn, sacrifice Curious Obsession.
