It can make the difference of going wide with your smaller creatures through a big blocker instead of just being stonewalled and picked apart by removal or sweepers later.
Planeswalkers fit better in midrange decks whether I view mono-white humans as a go wide pure-aggro type of deck.
Sweet Advice! I completely forgot about Dragon Hunter! Definitely going to replace Vanguard with that. I agree with your standpoint on this being more of an aggro deck than a midrange deck, the planeswalkers seem a bit clunky at 4CMC; the same was true for Odric, Lunarch Marshal although I do agree that the you get more for your mana with the planeswalkers vs.Odric,Lunarc Marshal Seeker of the Way would be a good replacement, but like you said it would be much better with more non-creature spells. I may have to playtest Glorybound to see how it fairs, it's nice that it's a 3/1 giving some additional hitting power, I just am not sure I like the situational side of having to exert it, but I do see the potential and it could make a big difference, especially exerting it and potentially giving it doublestrike from Arashin Foremost, this combination alone could probably close out games a turn earlier.

I tend to agree with Dennis on Honor of the Pure. And you are correct, I don't have an LGS (I miss having one in my hometown), although one is suppose to be coming soon, so it's not that I don't realize or not care about your points, I just disagree with some of your choices for me personally. That doesn't mean your comments are wrong it just means that metas can vary a great deal and until I am able to play at my soon to be opening (Hopefully) LGS it is hard for me to analyze what changes,if any, need to be made.Arashin Foremost works really well in my playgroup although I did consider Mirran Crusader when I was building the deck. With the addition of Dragon Hunter as another one drop, I think the upside is still there.
Again, I appreciate all the feedback and discussions!
If you going warrior I would recommend WB black has some pretty good cards. Below are options. Depends on which way you want to take it
[
Creatures
Chief of the edge
Blood-Chin Ranger
Bloodsoaked Champion
Mardu Strike Leader
Mardu Woe-Reaper
Sorin, Solemn Visitor
How is the 4x Mutavault working out for you ?
I have 3/4x copies before and was having some awkward draws with multiples of them not being able to cast my spells so I went down to 2x copies.
Not too many issues with Mana, but then could be luck since not much testing yet.
As for Ashiok I've honestly never used him before so wanted to try him.
Some of the card choices are for flavor Inquisition of Kozilek is prob better than, but I always like to try the tribes version too Nogging Whack.
I kind of want to try like 2x frogtosser banneret just to make most of my stuff cost 1 here and there, but prob not worth it. It might be though if I do use the tribe sorcery since it would make them 1 cost also.
I'm very surprised that both of you choose to omit Faerie Miscreant from the deck, it is the best 1-drop rogue besides Slither Blade
(Triton Shorestalker is good too but having a flying blocker that sometimes replaces itself is better imho).
Dash Hopes is a bad card (unless the opponent is losing anyway), especially when you play blue and can easily use "real" counters.
Oona's Prowler is the best standalone 2-drop in the deck (besides Bitterblossom) and I wouldn't run less than 4x.
There are some fringe decks that would like to discard to it but most decks won't do it unless forced to which is still good for us in terms of CA.

I just don't see really even getting to draw to Faerie Miscreant very often vs a unlockable. How often are you going to draw from it's effect. I'll have to test it out.
I see what you mean about Invisible Stalker though. Dash Hopes is prob more fun. I'm sure there are better cards like mana leak I could use
Was looking at rogues for a bit and saw seffron's video and thought it was interesting. This is the similar take I want to try. Dash Hope and Morsel theft look like a fun tech to me so hopefully can try them as a way to continue to mess with the opponent while chipping away with the little guys
After running the curio/evolutionary leap version for a while, last weekend i decided to give a try to the coco "aggro" version. it went pretty bad. I did not enjoyed playing the deck and it always felt too linear, too easy to be disrupted and too weak to sweepers.
so I'm back on the combo train.
talking with another elves player at the pptq, he told me he had quite a bit of success running 2 throne of the god-pharaoh
At the moment I run 3 curios and 4 evolutionary leap, I'm thinking of trying out how it goes with 4 curios and 2 thrones.
I'm also VERY interested in the new cradle. I'd probably take out 1 visionary and 1 land for it.
Thoughts?
also, question for anyone running the curio combo, no point in playing coco there, right?
I enjoy throne a lot. Tried cloudstone but felt inconstantct and unnecessary with shaman and throne your burn spikes to a decent amount
This is my current. It's fun and have been doing well against random decks
I know you like Odric, Lunarch Marshal but if you're going to put something in that's that high cost it needs to win you the game on its own. Thalia is def amazing but maybe 2of hero of blade hold to top your curve since you want a large creature. It can win you a game on its own if not delt with.
Can do a combo deck with Solemnity and messager. I'm sure there is a thread here somewhere with it or splash it in a zombie deck. I've seen a few. I'm sure you can make a budget version
I might be misunderstanding something here, but how does Solemnity work with Geralf's Messenger? Does that basically make it so that Geralf's Messenger is an always-returning creature?
Pretty much. You use can use creatures to sac him also to combo kill someone if you can get all 3 cards
I've been keeping an eye out for some Blooming Marshes on eBay, lol. You have so many fun cards in that deck. Dread Wanderer, Gravecrawler, and Smuggler's Copter..I'm kind of jealous I've got a playset of Geralf's Messengers, but I just haven't been able to fit him into a deck. What was the price range of that deck?

If you go there it will say each deck is around $100 but once you select the deck it will give you an link for matchup ect. It will help you with how the deck plays against others and there is also ultra budget version under the matchup that is usually 50-60 and non budget. The comments also help with some good opinions
Depends on the budget but a big part of the deck is snapcaster, thoughtseize(maybe use despise or duress depending on what you face), and land. Also goyf if you run green. For goyf maybe hooting mandrills or grim flayer.
Snapcaster there really isn't a budget version of. Same with the Liliana walkers but can test cards you enjoy. Not sure if I was much help but maybe try to start with two colors with a fun deck and see what you get.
Yeah it's fun countering a 5+ power creature and burning them for it. MindSwipe can be fun for that too though randomly if you have a ton of mana. psychic rebuttal could be fun too if your playing vs someone with like 8+ discards or other things that Target and annoy you in their deck. Just a fun side deck budget option.

Pretty much. You use can use creatures to sac him also to combo kill someone if you can get all 3 cards
Most popular cards to use are Cartel Aristocrat Viscera Seer and Phyrexian Unlife in that deck if I recall. Also Kitchen Finks is infinite life

If you notice yourself with no cards in hand then lupine prototype is a 2 cost 5/5
I used to use one or two Kalonian Hydra when I had a similar deck instead of Jared
Thought about servant of the scale ? Looks more solid sliverhead to me. Maybe worth testing
Heroic Intervention could be a good side card for your.
