I built an Olivia deck on cockatrice as a challenge from one of my mates to build a deck in under an hour (or maybe it was 30 mins) either way it was basically all B/R good stuff but I once got this enchantment out on turn 2 or 3 and it just wrecked everyone once Olivia was in play.
Well I put a similar build together and it went undefeated for months (until I leant it to one of my friends). Now that we've got 32 walkers I thought I'd look this thread up again.
How do you feel about Liliana of the Veil? She seems a bit weak to me I don't feel this deck likes having to discard for her +1. Have you found a way round this or is she just purely for the edict effect?
Same with Sarkhan Vol, his ultimate is nuts but the +1 is fairly weak, as is the -2 without a sac outlet.
I see you don't want to run too many wraths, but too me, this deck is just asking for an Hour of Reckoning.
More controlling ones also include the following two cause I couldn't find pacts all that cheepy and I only have a couple of FoW due to finding some gold bordered ones (which my play group doesn't mind people using).
My friend plays Karrthus and I play Vorosh, had a few games where neither of us would play our generals cause I didn't want Vorosh nicked and she wanted to steal him. I later worked out that if she just plays Karrthus she can kill me before Vorosh is big enough to stop her. This does require me not to have any counterspells or removal which is unlikely but does happen on occassion.
I don't tend to hate her out in multiplayer games but then I do tend to play a different general so as to avoid the issue.
Well, I've never had to use Martyr's Cause when I've got it in play so the jury's still out on that one. Sword of Vengence however is a beast!
In a long 3 player game with Akroma, Angel of Wrath and Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund as my opponents the sword managed to hold them both back, aided by Jenara's pump ability.
Had a few stally games recently where the decks just not done anything but give me my enchantments and equipment, eh it happens.
Wow! Haven't been on these forums for a while and thought I'd check my decklists, nice surprise to find so many comment.
I've been trying to lower the average CMC of my decks lately so dropping things like Butcher of Malakir for a Mortify might be a plan as I have a few of those lying around.
I have 1 copy of Elesh Norn and she used to live in my Rith, the Awakener deck, that decks been taken to pieces and turned into a semi-pauper* list, but I think she's still in there.
I like the colour fixing that the Phyrexian Altar gives over Ashnod's Altar but the latter does ramp a lot better, not overly interested in it making infinite mana easier as that gets dull after it's happened once or twice.
People always talk about Skeletal Vampire being amazing and I'm never sure why, 5 flying power over 3 bodies for 6, can regen, makes tokens for 5 mana a pop he always gets cut from my lists though. Happy to hear others view on him though as I do think he's cool.
Updated the original post with recent changes. Added the following cards.
[card]1 Geist-Honored Monk
1 Bloodline Keeper
1 Army of the Damned
1 Swords to Plowshares
1 Diabolic Intent
1 Stoneforge Mystic
1 Bloodgift Demon
1 Suture Priest
1 Darksteel Plate
1 Adarkar Valkyrie
1 Karmic Guide
1 Reveillark
1 Increasing Ambition
1 Vault of the Archangel[/card]
Cards added were mostly to move away from some of the enchantments which are hard to recur and towards more creatures which gen tokens and a few more ways to recur them. Innistrad and Dark Ascension have given us some nice cards for this style of deck and have been working well so far.
Looking for a card to cut for the Requiem Angel but not sure yet, it may also be unnecessary and overkill.
I considered Darkest Hour but I get bored with infinite combos very quickly and that's all that card is really good for. I have a few infinite combos in the deck but each part is useful on its own.
Regarding the other cards; I already run the traitor and skullclamp, Clamp is just way too good not to run in a token deck. Same goes with stoneforge, I've actually changed this deck a fair bit recently, will have to update the list. Runs a bit more recursion, with reveillark and karmic guide. I've gone for creature based rez as WB doesn't cope as well with getting other permanent types back.
Skeleton is worth considering, my wife plays Kresh and got that combo with fecundity too, pretty sweet.
The others are good but I wasn't happy with the cost/benefit as some of those cards cost a bit of cash.
Thanks again. I love this deck, my friends hate it. But not enough to stop playing against it.
I've built a Riku deck, lots of ramp, big (and little) burn spells, card draw and a small counterspell suite. It gave my child of alara deck (based on D0su's) a good run for it's money. Copying mulldrifter then bouncing with an evoked and copied aethersnipe seemed pretty good; 12 mana for a 2/2 flyer, a 4/4 and 4 cards as a reusable combo...
Good points regarding Tezzy 2.0 (love that name), his ultimate is easy enough to hit and his -1 gives a nice sized body for defence so his +1 isn't so important.
Ok, so child is just kinda an added benny for when you really need the wrath. Fair enough I guess.
Awesome, I've been playing about with a Child of Alara/Progenitus 5 colour good stuff deck and haven't been getting very far due to it just seeming kinda bland. This deck seems totally ridiculous but very fun. I already have most of the walkers and am only missing the M12 Chandra and Jace.
Few questions though, has Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas been good for you? You run 18 artifacts by my count which isn't a great hit rate but should be sufficient to hit more than miss.
Also, how's the child been as a general? It seems sensible to run as repeated wraths are likely helpful for this deck but it'll take all your walkers with it each time you wrath.
Thanks, looks a laugh and I might build a similar deck as something different.
Just had a thought, Martyr's Cause as a sac engine for the reveillark combo, it also gets genesis in the graveyard and can be helpful to stop a general beating my face in.
Any suggestions of something to drop, or is it not worth running? I've never played with the card before.
Additionally, Pathfinder said that Akroma could be a good bomb for the deck, but what about running sword of vengeance instead? That way any of my medium/big creatures becomes an akroma-like threat. Can anyone offer some experience in this area?
I built this deck a while ago and it tended to be rather hit or miss. The original concept was to run Naya goodstuff as I wanted to play with dragons and some of the cool white limited fatties like vengeful archon and angelic arbiter.
This was fun but I regularly just ended up with the 6cc+ creatures stuck in my hand for ages as I didn't have much early game. There was an equipment theme for a while but I ended up drawing too many toys and nothing to hold them.
The most recent version has gone for a more traditional Rith build and runs a reasonable number of token producing creatures. It's not been tested yet but what do people think? It still has a lot of wraths for one of my decks and some ways to make those one sided (Hierarch and Escort). Don't know if those are still good.

Running green tends to add:

Trying out [card]Venser, Shaper Savant[/cards] in my Jenara deck shortly.

Got a Phyrexian Reclamation in my Vorosh deck and my pal had a great laugh abusing that and Survival of the Fittest, so might try and squeeze one in here.
Just ordered a bunch of cards for my decks, got a Enlightened Tutor, Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, Terminus, Moonsilver Spear, Diabolic Revelation, Sever the Bloodline, Gilded Lotus, and Liliana of the Dark Realms which could all be good in this deck if I can find what to cut.
Anyone got an opinion of Liliana of the Veil? Discarding things to res is always good but she might be better off in Vorosh.
Thanks again for the discussion.

Any other general and Manalith should be awesome though.
I'm in the process of building a similar deck as I was starting to get a bit stuck for inspiration for a new deck and going pauper looks fun.
