Steve_man: Diabolic Edict over Chainer's Edict, is the instant speed so good? I guess the flashback is a lot. I'm going to add Snuff Out back in, not ran it in a while as the 4 life seemed a lot.
In reading over the SOI set discussion I saw people mention that golgari can pull off a self-mill strategy but when I search for info it all seems to be within Peasant not pauper. I can see the enablers for this easily enough, the chat was on vessel of nascency compared to commune with the gods and there's plenty of this type of effect to choose from but where are the pay-offs?
You're running a few more ramp spells than me, so I'd be tempted to cut Harrow or Wild Growth maybe, We've only just started running Oath of Druids and it hasn't shown up yet in a deck. I sympathise, cuts are still hard at 540, I'd love to try out Great Oak Guardian, Collected Company and Worldly Tutor which you've got but I don't know what to cut.
Oops, I posted up about Sam Pardee's draft, then noticed it ws posted already. I agree that the deck looked sweet and makes me want to fit in blood artist and the cutthroat.
Thanks for the clarification. Also I realised I misread your first question slightly. While I run both I also agree with the others in that I'd cut Morphling before Meloku.
Also I just noticed that you run Tattermunge Maniac but not Kird Ape is this due to it being hybrid and not needing switched on by a forest? I'd have thought that the 3 toughness and no must attack clause wopuld have made the Ape a decent bit better.
I agree with Tactuz for the first set. I run Silverblade Paladin over the crusader because of the higher upside and the protections annoy me for some reason.
2) Legionnaire moves between my white and artifact sections a lot depending on where I need space. Overall it's probably Legionnaire > Skyfisher = Sovereign as I prefer sovereign in aggro decks but Skyfisher in midrange although they both do fine in both decks.
3) Elf > Elder, T1 acceleration is a lot more important in my opinion. I've had good experience running a 3:2:1 ratio of accelerators from 1 mana to 3 mana in my midrange green decks (Don't want to de-rail but would others agree?).
Morphling vs Icefall Regent? Morphling can pack a bigger punch and is more resilient but the Regent locks down an opposing creature and doesn't need 1U per turn to hit for 4 in the air.
Thanks for the input guys, reaffirms what I've been thinking. One reason he was sticking around was to help aggro then I realised how much the double green would be hurting that. I do kinda agree with Spike Rogue in that going T1 elf into T2 troll should be pretty strong and I still love Strangleroot Geist .
Zetsu: I run Yasova in my tricolour section, also Ohran Viper is a pet card of mine. Unfortunately, I rarely get to pay it due to my wife's predilection for drafting green midrange.
I'm making some tweaks to my list moving to 540 and noticed that Troll Ascetic wasn't run as much as he used to be and I was wondering why, didn't seem to be a previous thread so her we are.
As I see the Troll he helps green against control decks as a baby Thrun while being generally fairly agressive and resilient. The downside I see is the 2 toughness making he has to regenerate to survive the plethora of 2 power creatures in cube. It's this what others have found? What alternatives finally did him in for you? He was still in my cube at 360 but I realise that I haven't seen him played in quits a while.
Thoughts on Voice of Resurgence vs Gaddock Teeg vs Gavony Township?
I'm at 540 powered, other cards in the guild are Mirari's Wake, Dryad Militant, Kitchen Finks and Qasali Pridemage.
Thanks

Question I keep meaning to ask now, assuming that Supreme Verdict, Detention Sphere and Geist of Saint Traft stay would you cut Sphinx's Revelation or Dragonlord Ojutai for Reflector Mage?
Thanks
3) I'd keep Everflowing Chalice and Hedron Archive, in a related note why did you decide to cut the signets?
How do Wolfbitten Captive, Experiment One, Jungle Lion and Scythe Leopard play for you and how would you rank them?

Heya Folks,
