    Good Afternoon, guys...

I'm ressurecting this post bacause of Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath. At LGS I am currently running this deck again, with Uro, and liking so far. Not really the most OP deck in the format, but if well tunned and trained, I think is a pretty good deck.

My list is oriented at beating Aggro (which is heavy at LGS) MD, but has enough countermagic to fight control and combo decks as well. Also, some choices were made to have a chance in game 1 against most decks possible, such as Lazotep Plating against Valakut and Storm decks that may appear a LGS.

    List:

My sideboard is still strange and I am tunnig it.

    Thoguths, guys?

    Regards,
    bitbroosher.

    HI all.

You guys know that a single Push or a Bolt at Snapcaster in response of cryptic trying to bounce him would counter all effects of that Cryptic, right? So that is not as reliable as you are saying.

While I don't like to cut Opts, it's the easiest piece of the deck that can be switched, because with 4 Remand, 4 Cryptics, 4 Growth Spiral and 1 Hierographic there are 13 draw apells already, not countsing 3 Spancasters. And all those sounds more importante than Opt.

Still, I don't know if I'm not playing the deck right, or it needs more removal (at least 1 sweeper) maindeck.

    bitbroosher.

    Hi all.

I just built this deck and went to its first LGS tournament. And I did a poor (almost horrible) 1-3.

    The opponets were:
    1. Merfolk (0-2)
    - Mana screwed G1 and G2 and my WR got counteres both games.
    2. Goblins (0-2)
    - The goblins came fast and furious both games.
    3. Jeskay Control (2-0)
    - Out-controlled him in G1 and he got mana screwed in G2.
    4. Hearthless Summoning Aggro (0-2)
    - Discard and big guys just got the job done

Apart from the lack of real testing and experience of the deck, I found that this deck has a bad time against agro. And luckly I dodged all BGx with their 1,000,000 discard spells.

So... How this deck wins against agro? Cryptic Command can delay the defeat, but without a sweeper in maindeck, I found G1 too fragile the the matchup.

    Any tips here?

I might try this changes to maindeck:
    -3 Opt
+3 Removal (Consume the Meek, Fatal Push and Echoing Decay are my first choices)

    bitbroosher

What about the old school standard teachings decks that ran teferi and then were able to teachings for dralnu and lock up the game? Obviously dralnu is not good against burn, but I feel that this is a path worth exploring.

I think of Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir as a game ender against U/x Control decks. Dralnu is not really necessary in this matchup. In every other matchup, siding in Teferi would be a mistake, IMHO.

Other than that, this deck needs a mass removal in maindeck. Auto-losing G1 to Humans, Elves, Spirits, Goblins and Bridgevine is just a hard blow. And there is not alot of instant sweepers in sultai colors.

Anyone else having success with this deck?

    Hi all.

Is anyone else excited on Growth Spiral in this deck? I guess we can finally pass the turn 2 with 2 mana open, bluffing for a Remand or Mana Leak.

Still... I can't decide the 4th color for tyhjis deck.

Black has: Nicol Bolas, the Ravager (main reason do go black), Fatal Push, Languish (For spirits matchup), Slaughter Games and Kolaghan's Command

White has: Path to Exile, Supreme Verdict, Sphinx's Revelation, Settle the Wreckage, Stony Silence and Rest in Peace.

Im inclined to go black, because few people expects a Nicol Bolas in G2 or G3. They usually side out spot removal against us.

I guess OmenShift and RUG Shift belongs to this forum. But all other BtL Scapeshift are OK in your primer.

I'll wait your primer to see your lists... It will be a nice reading and learning, for sure Smile

If you post a specific "4 Color Bring Scapeshift do Light", it won't count as a dup, but you can always contact a moderator, they are looking on all forums (I guess)

Also, care to share your list? I'm curious Smile

Hey, Micah. Thx for sharing your thoughts Smile And don't worry about brutalizing my list, lol, that's why I posted it... looking towards making it better.

In most of my games, I can find my combo pieces, even after using a BtL->Sweeper, thanks to Izzet Charm and to a lesser extend, Remand. For that reason, I don't see Search for Azcanta as essential (yet I run 1 copy, just to feel safe).

I really like the idea of using glittering wish. Couple years ago, I played a "Jeskai-Green" version os Jeskai Nahiri, that used 4 copies of Wish, and I loved it! There is 2 problems with Wish... it is a sorcery and you must run at least 3 to be reliable (4 is ideal).

As for Insidious Will, KComm on me are "Discard and 2 damage", most of the time. And I can change that to a 3 for 1 situation, killing their pyromancer and making them discard a card. Also, I won a game against RG Valakut just by copying their Scapeshift. I just like flexible cards, because BtL makes is almost a toolbox deck (I can be wrong here, lol).

I'm gonna test 2 Search for Azcanta in maindeck, moving Bolas do SB. Not sure about Glittering Wish...

    Hi all,

Recent decks on mtgtop8 are using Black over White as the 4th color of BtL Scapeshift decks.
Black does, indeed, provides us some nice spells, such as Abrupt Decay and Slaughter Games. Also, Jace, the Mind Sculptor is getting replaced on those lists as well. How about the inclusion of Nicol Bolas, the Ravager as the deck's alternate kill condition, replacing JTMS?

Seems a good creature to add, because Bolas provides a nice 4/4 body with a discard. And 7 mana is very easy to get by mid/late game, so transform him won't be much of na issue. As for his planeswalker's package, I say that draw 2 extra cards every turn is too sweet to pass Smile and the "-3" and "-4" abilities have a good impact, depending on the matchup. And Bolas is "fetchable" with BtL, while JTMS is not.

    Regards,
    bitbroosher.

Hey, glad to see some new people in on here. It appears that all the old regulars died or something.

So Bolas is another fair deck win condition you can play out of the sideboard. While I don't think it's bad, I feel there are better options. Maindeck is almost definitely off the table as it turns on their removal. Generally, you only need alt win cons g2-3 anyway. It's not a bad option, I'm just not sure it's the best choice.

Jace is getting replaced because he's fragile and the deck can't generally protect him well. Regrettably, I've not tested with him much so I don't know much more than that.

    Thx Smile

Against some decks, we stiil need an alternate kill condition in game1, because either we get our spells countered, or some decks are packing Blood Moon maindeck. So not having that second way to (try to) win the game might ruin our chances to do a good result. I mean, if we are not favored in G1, things will probably be worse in G2 and G3.

Also, I was thinking about Search for Azcanta... Is that card really good to us? We do not fill the graveyard as quickly as other control decks and I don't see an advantage in dumping cards to graveyard just to activate it early, because our deck is so tight on spells. And I think playing SfA on turn2 is the worse play we can do. Any thoughts on this card?

Since we are not focused on combo ASAP as TitanShift are, our gameplan is slower and 80% of the time we do Bring to Light for some mass removal first and then search our kill condition while keeping counterspell ready. Am I wrong on this one?

I want to see this deck as a tier2, at least, but with the high amount of hate we are getting, might be difficult.

    bitbroosher.

Personally I think one of the best card draw spells for Faeries is Chart a Course and/or Jace, Cunning Castaway. Those 2 cards do some great work when you draw those extra Bitterblossoms. It gives you a reasonable way to discard them, filters your draws (with Jace) and digs you deeper.

I think the new Jace is overwhelmingly underplayed in decks like this. You have evasive creatures that can connect with your opponent and its pretty easy to get to ultimate and start double triggering him. Not to mention that he does provide a blocker if needed.

    Hi all,

I like the new Jace idea. Will test him soon, as well as Origin's Jace. But I am really looking for an instant speed draw engine. Gonna test Azcanta too.

On the big creatures removal, indeed this deck lacks removal G1, but Spellsturret sprite can counter those big things with a bitterblossom active. Gonna check other options.

Keep the ideas flowing, guys Smile and thx

    Hi all,

Did anyone tried the Faeries version of sultai?

    Im running this list:

Im liking the approach, so far. Dropping a bitterblossom or a tarmogoyf and hide behind counterspells and removals is, indeed, a good plan Smile

Any thoughts on how to improve the deck?

Currently, Im looking to refine my draw engine... I like the Scry2 from condecend and serum visions, but Im looking forward for instant draw cards, much like think twice. Ancestral vision is too slow, most of the time.

    Hi all,

I recently shifted from Abzan CoCo to TitanShift. I made my research on TitanShift, saw some vídeos, compared some lists and so on. My maindeck is pretty default.
Sideboard-wise, I think you cannot be prepared for everything, so I made my SB focused on matches that I might encounter on LGS and the rest, I only accept defeat or pray for some luck.

Sill, I have some questions... I would appreciate if you guys take a little of your time to make things clear for me Smile . Here we go:
    1. What are the most "trap" hands (Initial cards that seems to be good, but I would regret not to mulligan)?
    2. I run 4 copies of Leyline of Sanctity in SB, but against heavy discard decks or Burn decks, I find myself doing "over-sideboarding" alot, putting all 4 copies of LoS and 2 Baloths. And that made me think if LoS is really essential, I mean, those 4 slots in SB could turn into more baloths, or more lifegain and so on... what do you gys think of 4 LoS in SB? Is it really necessary?
    3. Countermagic seems to hinder us alot and in maindeck there's no room for boseiju. Is boseiju a card that is worth 1 SB slot?
    4. Did anyone tried 2 x Rude Awakening as a 5th and 6th scapeshift? this card seems so sweet inthe deck (either MD or SB) and an excelente topdeck in mid/late game.
    5. Is the match againt Death and Taxes winnable at all? How do I make this MU less horrible? A guy at LGS started to show with D&T and I simply cannot win Frown Is there a way to improve my SB without losing cards that are good against other decks?

    Regards,
    bitbroosher.

I cannot afford vindicate, right now, but I might have the other cards.

But there is a limit on the times my opponent can pay life (unless an Oloro mirror match, which will be too boring), but nice to now that I still have ways to bypass Zur's wierdings.

Also, should I have any kind of enchantment recursion (such as auramancer) just in case I got mine destroyed or countered?

And what about Pithing Needle or Phyrexian Revoker, for the Derevi match?

I will try using discard and probe, but Im unsure on what do take, because most decs ramps on artifacts too. If I find myself low on lands and not being able to counter twice in the same turn might be a problem.

    Regards,
    bitbroosher.
