Feb 9, 2014Zephynoir posted a message on Launch Giveaway! My favorite magic card is Rith, The Awakener. It was the first rare card I ever opened, and it really influenced me. Opening a Dragon with this seemingly huge ability and costing THREE colors made me really excited, so I started to play with only Red, White, and Green. Nowadays, Green is still my favorite color, and I still play with that copy of Rith.Posted in: Announcements

I can see it now, as well....
"More Scornful Egomaniac 12UUU
Creature - Scornful Scorner ISD
Morph- 4U
Transifgure - UB
1/1"
You know, just for the sheer hilarity of it, I would play that card. I used to have a deck based entirely on Scornful Egotist and it's fun little CMC~
Goblins might be able to slip in a few, maybe, if they can find a reason, but I don't see them being a staple either, at all. I would like to see some, as we could use some real nasty, evil goblins to break the silly cycle, and to show that they can think a bit differently with them.
Merfolk....I think could be possible. They seem to call anything slightly humanoid besides cephalids/homarids that lives in the ocean a merfolk. I'm pretty sure that, if Nicol Bolas went for a swim, they would call him a merfolk until he dried off.
I would REALLY love to see a new red or green walker, however. And...Who is to say you can't have decay in nature? Green is the native color of Poison, of Basilisks, of Naturalize and Creeping Mold, etc., etc.
Decay can be very very Green. And, I agree that Garruk himself may not have black mana bonds, while having his spells mangled- The very nature of a curse is to hurt you in some way. Garruk has Black forced on him, with no way to actually use it. Now THAT is funny AND cruel
I dunno, Transfigure just seems REALLY breakable. I very much enjoy Delve, though. I'd love to see more of that. I think part of my love for both of these abilities stems from my love of Ravnica- Transfigure is like Transmute, only more useful, and Delve is just like convoke, in a way.
I'd love to see more tribal abilities, though, and if this has tribal, plus a tribe with both those abilities? Especially, like, Zombies? I could see things getting pretty nasty @__@
"Sacrifice this creature: Search your library for a creature that shares a color with this creature and with the same converted mana cost and put that card onto the battlefield..."
I dunno, I've always loved little color splashy mechanics XD; And, I could just see it being REALLY abused, with no restrictions XD; I dunno, I know SOMEONE will break it lol
