Honestly I can see that too. It's not like Riven players/mains are bad or toxic just because they play Riven, I think it's more the mind set of "Oh this champ is good so when I play it, I'll win. This champ is too good to lose so this loss isn't my fault." I honestly do get mad when I lose important (to me) games like promo series so I can understand the anger mindset, but that's on a per game basis. I jungle or support almost every game so I fall into the trap of blaming people for "not following me in." I've started to break that and admit when I make poor decisions so I think I've been a more reasonable person to play with. Most of the times I blame other people I apologize later as opposed to FotM junkies who can never do any wrong. There are times where I get mad at a player/lane for just playing carelessly.

This is all a big generalization too so I don't mean to offend people, just noticing a trend in people who champion hop based on who's "the best" each week passing the buck in games when a lot of times it's their fault.

Just had THE craziest game ever! It was the third game of my promo series so I needed a win. We started off TERRIBLY. I think their Udyr started 6/0/5 or something and our bot lane was 1/12 collectively by 15-20 minutes. I was jungling as Xin Zhao and was 3/3/4 or so around the 20 minute mark. (Full disclosure I was full on raging. I feel terrible about it now. Sorry to any of you who were on my team I love you all!) With my bot lane severely behind I built Ancient Golem straight into Blade of the Ruined King for more damage. Our mid Leblanc was doing OK at this point. She had started off feeding their Diana and Udyr but she was slowly coming back picking off their stragglers. They got into our base and took down 2 inhib towers and we managed to push them back. They sieged haphazardly and we were able to get a few kills and deflect them. After a little while of this, we were able to start pressing our advantages and taking turrets, dragons, etc off these small skirmishes. Immediately we stopped raging and started working as a team, it was an amazing transformation. Their Udyr had gotten cocky and built damage, we were able to demolish him as he ran in then slowly pick off their team. One fight we killed their Riven as she tried to hit our top inhib. We rotated over to mid lane and started to push. We got hit by an Annie's Tibbers and Udyr ran straight in. Udyr was dead half a second after we got out of stun. Diana jumped in right before Udyr died and she died quickly. We pushed onto their mid turret took it down and realized we could win there. We made short work of their Nexus and celebrated.

The thing that made this so much sweeter? The Udyr and Riven on the other team had been taunting all game and being terrible sports about their "victory." It felt so insanely good to laugh back at them.

They have Islands? Yeah you can outrace. If you're really worried pack more Vapor Snag or Dismember even. Let their guys through at first, don't let a flipped Delver stick around, and then outrace.

IMO Affinity and Boggles are the worst matchups by far. They're the only deck that I consistently have had a sub-50% win rate against. Everything else that I've played against has been favorable.

I haven't had a problem with RG Tron. U Tron can be a problem if they get Tron online and can Cyclonic Rift, O-Stone, or even Repeal before we can Balance once. (Note: I'm playing the Borderpost version so if I can wipe their lands, I'm fine)

If you're going to focus on using O-Stone to blow up the board, I suggest splashing green and using Explore instead of Talismans. Otherwise, just use Cyclonic Rift.

I'm about to test a build with Fulminator Mage + Sun Titan with Ghostly Prisons over Ensnaring Bridges. Will let you all know the results.

I think the deck should focus around stomping the midrange matchups main deck and then side in Leyline/Rule of Law/other hate for the unfair matchups. I main 4 Boom // Bust, 3 Ghost Quarter, 1 Tec Edge, and 2-3 World Queller (still testing for main deck amount). Land destruction has been more beneficial than main deck Leylines as LD is ALWAYS relevant while Leyline is relevant in MAYBE 1/2 of matches.

Remember when colored artifacts didn't exist?

    Pepperidge Farms remembers.

I was opposed to Simian Spirit Guide until I turn 1: SSG+SSG+Land+Trinisphere against Affinity.

Dredgevine was one of my first decks in Modern and it was a serious blast to play. I ran into too much grave hate and pieced out my land base. Still have the core of the deck put together and am considering doing a budget land base and keeping it around to loan out to friends or play when I think there's a minimum in grave hate.

I've been running the Jundvine list and wanted some advice. Deathrite Shaman has just been a huge bust for me, they never worked right. Same with Lightning Bolt honestly. What could I replace these with? Maybe Darkblast? I always find myself wanting more cards that interact in and with my graveyard instead of these cards. Could try Slitherhead too.

I've heavily considered Trading Post just as a catch-all. Problem was that it never worked as intended, mostly because it's not T Mage searchable, so I never got it at the right time(s). I feel like the card could shine in the more grindy matchups (BGx, UWR, etc) though. So if your meta will allow it, try it out. I have multiple RG Trons, 2 Merfolk, 2 Boggle, and 2 Affinity guys in my normal meta, so it's just a bit too slow for me. I'd rather use the excess mana to Cyclonic Rift or O-Stone or just straight up hit Mindslaver.

As for budget swaps, you could run a dedicated Mindslaver.dec. There have been a lot of times that I've considered this but ultimately, Wurmcoil is just an amazing card for this deck. Platinum Angel you can find for around $3-4. It's not necessary but it can just win games on its own so it's nice to have. Also a Sundering Titan should be in your 75, I like 1 main deck but that's my personal choice.

Now to the thread as a whole, I've been mulling over splashing green for Explore. I wouldn't be doing that GU Tron trash deck that's been popping up, just a small splash to replace the Talismans and/or a Condescend or two.

I fully stand behind Remand. Took me a while to fully understand how to use it productively but now I don't think I'll ever go away from it.

I've been playing a very similar deck that's more focused on LD than this. I have Tron and a bunch of 3 colored decks in my meta so it seemed most logical. Boom // Bust combined with Flagstones of Trokair has been amazing. World Queller usually seals games and Inkmoth Nexus ends games with Ensnaring Bridge out.
