I'm looking forward to seeing many of the decks in play now lose alot of their key cards as named by everyone here, how they adapt if not perish, and how new decks spring out for a new meta
Cheers guys, kinda what I was thinking too, but I raised the question because of the comma in between the two 'parts' of Hidden String's effect.
I read somewhere that Sensei's Divining Top could be bounced to your hand as it was resolving so that it doesn't go to the top of your deck as its draw card effect was resolving, because there was a comma, I could be wrong again tho lol.
My apologies but my question isn't based on the OP's question, but is a stacking order question.
If I cast Hidden Strings to untap my Axebane Guardian, can I cast a Restoration Angel to blink the Axebane, tap Axebane again, then untap him with the same Hidden Strings?
I'd be interested to know exactly what share of the market are taking advantage of MM as a boom asset or fun times with limited events to their customers. Modern is flat out dead in my city and somehow I just think the release of MM didn't hit its 'goal' for catalysing MM in communities. I could be wrong though, and Deathrites/Abrupts will surge faster if so.
Probably end of line'd, never seen them before but they look great, I've been looking around for Mirran/Phyrexian symbol sleeves from the SoM block, very difficult and at least $AUD 20 for 80 sleeves delivered to door.
Just to throw it out there my local advanced store is getting 30 boxes i.e. 5 cases of MM's. This store is a franchise so the headquarters somewhere else in Australia got a bunch from WotC and allocated this much to my local adv store. AUD $288/box
Great in limited as everyone has said, however the 4 drops in innistrad block just trump, HotF, Olivia, Falkenrath, dragon's maze - advent of the wurm, etc.
I quite like desecration demon, he sees play in some people's fnm standard budget decks on friday
Thanks for the reply, I also want to add, what are some cards that will drop furiously post rotation? Obvious ones would be from M13/Innistrad block, but how about those in RtR block? I think Sphinx's Revelation has eclipsed at $30.
So from my limited knowledge, all RtR block shocks, Abrupt decay and Deathrite's will presumably increase in price post rotation and perhaps years after that.
So what are the best long term asset cards available in standard right now?
So, any infinite/really fun combos after the release of Theros?
i.e. karametra's acolyte with untap cards? sorry haven't read the full spoiler yet for theros.
And what does the symbol in MM represent? I thought it was a very abstract looking city of brass, but probably not.
