Also, some ghetto version of Pod Wolves is going to pop up. Then end game won't be to get out a 7CMC creature, but to get out a ton of wolves, and then they transform because you aren't casting spells (or from Moonmist)
There will be some shenanigans with all the werewolves. Moonmist will do work with a heavy werewolf deck. I feel like if they would have spoiled Moonmist now people would make that connection a little more. Imagine, a werewolf deck where you attack with 3 creatures that are only 3/3 or so and then you drop Moonmist at instant speed, prevent all damage done to them and nearly double your damage. That is going to be a game winner. Perhaps the werewolves are more powerful than we thought, or maybe there are just too many of them...
I don't think it is fair to compare Past In Flames to Yawgmoth's Will. Can't replay creatures, or artifacts, or enchantments. However, still has potential to do work with red burn decks late game. I can imagine getting ticked if this resolves late game and I get graveyard wrecked by Shock, Galvanic Blast, Arc Trail, Goblin Grenade, Incinerate, Slagstorm, Dismember, Volt Charge, and more.... Really, I guess I am trying to say is this enables a lot of targets.
EDIT: Don't forget Koth of the Hammer.... Maybe he finally found a home.
Seems pretty beast. Flying and haste is always welcome, especially when it gets bigger quickly. Great limited card, 'meh' constructed card. Probably have the same effect Chandra's Phoenix has had, very little (cursed timely reinforcements).
Exactly... That and Pod requires you to Sac the creature, so you can't trigger the shuffle effect in response. I can see why people WANT to use him in Pod, but they really shouldn't.
It seems awful all around, especially since Pod is only as a sorcery. However, since it is part of the cost they cannot destroy the creature in response. There is a very limited time where this would interact with Pod well, and most of the time screw it over.
Seems bad. The card by itself seems awesome. I am still an advocate of Bonehoard with it and all the flashback wonders that we are to see.
T1: Mountain, Creature
T2: Mountain, Infernal Plunge into Geosurge into Inferno Titan, Wurmcoil Engine, other shenanigans...
EDIT: G/R Pod Wolves, look for it.
