I'd tend to agree - she's annoying, but she's 1 toughness so she's fragile - and Legendary stops her from being stacked. [Unless Mirror Gallery is reprinted in the set (no chance)]
Honestly while it will be nice to get her down, in reality, without a control shell to keep her on the table she's just going to get bounced/burned as soon as it makes sense to your opponent.
Hatebear with plausible legacy applications. Maybe not so much standard, since control is already dead as a doornail anyway, but probably there too anyway. But that lich sure isn't liliana. Though it is probably constructed material too. 5 is tough, but it lets you recur your graveyard critters- and theirs. Slow, but it will fit into some combo, even if its too slow for aggro. I mean, it wouldn't work well in zombies.dec because you're already able to recast your gravecrawlers for example
Remember thats not only your own graveyard, but whatever necrotic ooze style shenanigans we're doing with it, that probably won't matter
BUT! You CAN recast your dire grafs and Phyrexian Crusaders with it. and your walking corpses, but not Vengeful Pharaoh, he must stay in the gy!(i've been thinking up a mono B Zombies+Zombie Infestation deck, i think this guy might make it swing to U/B
Lich seems like it could be broken by someone (I'm not saying that it will) possibly some kind of self-mill deck?
Yep. I was just thinking about how fun it will be to play My Ghoultree out of my own graveyard, because he is then lowering his own mana cost. Go B/U/G Neo-Dredge
So if the creature you cast with lich dies, it goes back in the grave and you keep casting it from there as long as lich is in play?. That's pretty good. The activated ability part seems like it will rarely be relevant.
Thalia seems pretty good. Thorn of Amethyst on a decent sized body, could be awesome for human aggro, making all their sweepers cost 1 more is good.
^This. Thank you for making it so aggro has to race a turn 5 DoJ instead of a turn 4
No. A creature has to be in play for a Full Turn to be able to attack. If you flashed a creature in at the end of your opponents turn, well ANYTIME during your opponent's turn, it can attack. That Dragon Broodmother token that came in on your opponent's turn, it can attack. This token that you get on YOUR upkeep, can't attack.
This is one of those goofy cards that has one ridiculous drawback that makes takes a mediocre card and makes it TERRIBLE.
I like the flavor, I'm fine with jank rares being in a set, they have to be there... But how does it make sense from a flavor or design perspective that the counters come off it? Could've been a neat card, and funny thing is, if you didn't have to remove the counters, it would still see no play whatsoever in any format. I guess it'll be fun in card rating < 1.0 format to tutor up Chimney Imp.
Flavor and design wise, you are opening up the jar and using the eyeballs for something. This is OBVIOUSLY not for standard(at least not me with my combo-rific mind can see as of yet...keyword, YET) but i will be happy to include it in any EDH deck of mine that isn't running black, it's a friggin reusable tutor in a format where MULTIPLE board wipes get played every game(at least in my meta.)
Actually I wish I had a link to the forum about Balefire. Someone there had a really awesome post about how Dragons are actually a pretty big part of what the Gothic movement was. Check out some of the history on it. I wish i could remember who posted it though
Sorin creating an angel to watch over a plane definitely makes him feel like an oldwalker. Yay for a current planeswalker being more than a slightly above average mage who can planeswalk when they try really, really hard.
He is an oldwalker. He is over 10,000 years old so he and Nicol are in the Urza/Mishra/Garth category for 'walkers.
That's why you run more than 1
2 words....Zombie....Apocalypse :3
Go B/U/G?

I would rather read the entire Twilight Series then EVER read that POS excuse for novel again.
It's a token, so the first time it hits the graveyard, counter or not, it's exiled.

No. I get a Sorin vibe. Sorin eats things made of Genova cells for breakfast.
