Hey guys, I'm really loving this deck as I love hard control, but Shackles just isn't cutting it for me. It never does anything except for get me a blocker occasionally, and that just doesn't cut it for 5 mana. I'm also using 2 Scepters, because Scepter + Helix is the best win-con he have available IMO, and I play 3 Gifts MB, because its super fun and challenging to play with, and this decks toolbox gives it so much room to work in. Anyway, I would love some criticism as well as well as some more action in this thread.
While I was golfing this morning, I had an idea for a deck that used Retrace to put lands in the yard, get them back with the ever popular Life from the Loam, then dredge into an Unburial Rites and a reanimation target. Then, I had the idea to use blue for Gifts Ungiven as another card engine, seeing as we already want more than 90% of our deck in the graveyard. Also, as we run both black, green, and white, we have Knight of the Reliquary and Worm Harvest as back up wincons. So, without any further ado, the first decklist of Loam-Animator:
Manabase is a bit convoluted, but I'm still testing. Noxious Revival and Reclaim are there for getting any cards that may not belong in the grave, Dismember, for example, as well as Gifts shenanigans.
Right now I'm looking for advice on all aspects, side and main, as well as if anyone thinks this could be a competitive deck, and if I should write a primer for it.

I don't use heartless in this deck because the deck is more focused on a longer game. I'm considering cutting down on some of the artifacts so as to include counterspells. I'm about to test a bit on Cockatrice and bring back some results. Tell me what you think.

Right now I'm playing a kind of budget UB Control deck in my local modern events. I was wondering if I could get any feedback on my list. Also, I need a sideboard.
Thing though, even if it's hexproof, can't a spell that is generalized against critters (all creatures) or make opponent sac one still effect it? It can't be specifically targeted but could be effected by a generalized "area of effect" spell.
Of course. But so could Squadron Hawk, and you din't see him any less played because of it.
