As many fellows here I feel quite optimistc about the Jace. 4ur mana tap-out is the huge deal for UWx players, and quite a risky move. So, I suppose, they will play Jace at 6+ manas, to have some valid counters in a sleeve.

Ok, I got the point. Any evidence that the card is worthy?

Guys, pls explain me whats the idea of chained to the rocks?
Its a quasibl-removal card operating at sorcery speed. Any reason to pick it over pte?

Well, my DnT expirience tells me that Kataki it the total wreck for an Affinity. I used to play 2 Katakis + 1 SS because Kataki are able to punch faces.
It's quite ok for me to force them sac all things for a ravager. Also I must note that we all have couple of PtE for an extremly fat robots.

I'll definetly try one kataki + couple of shattering sprees.

Guys, please remind me why its ok to take a stony silence but a Kataki isn't ok.
AFAIK there is not much creature removal in decks where we want use th SS.

I dont advocate the idea of playing 61 cards with 20 lands. As I have said before, I think that 19+41 is the best config.

But speaking about 20+41 I just want to say that its not a taboo, despite many people thinks so.

Usually people talk about 61 card because they want play some pet card: one with the favored art, mighty finisher that extremly fun to resolve, and so on. But its unproffetional.

I think that there is one main difference with the Burn. We dont have any bad pet cards,so we cant make a deck less consistant by taking 5th scullcrank or 5th bolt.

So I tend to consider 61st card as... a virtual sideboard extension. The main restriction here that the card must be kind of universal. A 5th searing effect, a 5th bolt, a 5th crank or a 2nd lavamancer.

And the other point that if You play 20+40 and dont want to pick a specific hate during sideboardong, but just want slightly emphisize some effect you already have in the main, it's seems pretty ok to pick 61st card without siding out at all.

Well, I have not any personal opinion on that subject.

But my current RWg deck is constructed by the most expirienced russian burn player, so I kinda believe in his approach.

He says that 10 is the maximum for a 19-lands-deck, but he also has a gut-feeling that 9 is the best number.

So here is my mana base:
    2 Mountain
    1 Arid Mesa
    4 Bloodstained Mire
    4 Inspiring Vantage
    2 Sacred Foundry
    2 Stomping Ground
    4 Wooded Foothills

    Hello Burning ppl.
After almost a year and a half without the Game, I decided to roll in again, with the brand new Burn Deck. You have not seen me here, because I used to stick with the DnT people last years, but I own Burn now so here I am.

Inspired by the honorable TS, I wantded to make my own expirements about what the best lands count for a Burn deck.

As soon as I have a powerfull SQL server at my disposal, I made 15 millions runs (5 million per a deck type) with random starting hands.

At fisrt I just want to check elconquistador1985 calculations but then I wander. What if we take 20 lands and 41(!) spells? And here is results

    For a 19-41-deck

    ZeroLands 5,8%
    OneLander 22,11%
    TwoToThree 58,58%
    FourPlus 13,5%
    TotalyUnkeepable 19,3%

    For a 20-40-deck

    ZeroLands 4,82%
    OneLander 19,85%
    TwoToThree 59,36%
    FourPlus 15,98%
    TotalyUnkeepable 20,8%

    And for a 21-40-deck

    ZeroLands 5,15%
    OneLander 20,6%
    TwoToThree 59,12%
    FourPlus 15,12%
    TotalyUnkeepable 20,27%

And speaking of TotallyUnkeepable I mean both zerolanders and four-plus-landers in total(last one maybe arguable, but there is how I see the Game).

The quick conclusion: it seems that 19 lands is the most correct decision. But if You're feel that You need more - 21+40 seems a bit better than 20+40.

Best wishes Flame Nation, and if You want to see some more statistics play, just let me know.

Hello ppl. I don't get the vial priority trick.

What the big deal? As soon as your arbiter is in a stack, it's either would be countered by the mana leak or not. In anyway you can't place it on a table via a vial, so why should we bother about regaining priority?

I'm saying that it's quite strange to judge a creature by ability to compete with a tarmo. And OFK I don't propose to change Pridemates for Riders. I'm playin both playsets now, fyi.

I suppose, that a guy who can(possibly) compete a goyf will catch his Terminate/Decay pretty fast. So I don't undertand why should I care if a creature can compete goyf or not. There is lingering souls, spectral processions and pathes to COMPETE goyfs. Not creatures.

I played a lot with a stock version and there was several times where I was totally displeased with the Pridemate because of his lack of dodge abilities.

One time my Pridemate was 26/26 and can do nothing because of super broad enemie's board. So If You ask me to chose between 6/6 pridemate and 4/4 rider with TRAMPLE, i'd prefer second one.
Big/Big is quite awesome, untill you meet a couple of Lingering Souls or a repetitive Squadron Hawk. IMHO OFK.

I do agree, that the Lone Rider isn't a game breaker, at least without proper preparations.

I just wander, are we able to make up some shell that will made him one of the main deck's threats? I do believe that the full potential of that card isn't discovered yet.

Why do You call a 4/4 trampla first strike lifelink guy for 2 mana mediocre?
Boltproof, colorless, hard beater. Able to block and kill an Etched Champion, invulnerable to Ugin's 2nd. Completely destroys both dredge and burn. Very fast clock in a midrange deck match up.
