I guess if you're running stuff like Unburial Rites then milling yourself for an extra 8 is fine, but if you're just on Breaking // Entering then you're going to have to draw and resolve another one anyway.

I don't know that it's worth running Dank Dwellers. Yes, if your fused Breaking // Entering hits Dank Dwellers AND a fatty then you can get both, but the fatty by itself usually ought to be enough, I dunno how relevant the extra 4/4 would be.

The goal is really just to present a clock, which Ulamog doesn't do through counters. You should try it yourself if you really want to know. Things on paper are often different than when actually in game.

I would imagine Ulamog and Twin are both automatic two-for-ones against control (if you don't just win with them), with the difference being that Ulamog will often just snipe two lands, but Twin will demand two actual answers unless they have a sweeper; a counter and a kill spell, or two kill spells. Either way, you're getting two pieces of meaningful interaction. Even if they have a sweeper, I'd still probably rather trade for that than for two lands in the late game.

Also Twin just clocks harder when unanswered, and if they only have a single piece of disruption, it's still a two turn clock where Ulamog would just be a mild inconvenience.

The Cage seems stupid in sideboards. Turn off Undying, turn off Flashback, turn off Green Sun's Zenith, turn off Unburial Rites? For one mana?

It's because Mirror-Mad Phantasm is looking for "a card named Mirror-Mad Phantasm." In cases like the Cudgel Troll, the ability is referencing that specific instance of the creature. So, if you had two Cudgel Trolls out, paying for one wouldn't cause both to be regenerated. In effect, "Regenerate Cudgel Troll" reads as "Regenerate this creature," hence the ruling for Necrotic Ooze. Mirror-Mad Phantasm, however , is a different case entirely.

Also, I want to try out that Mirror-Mad Ooze deck. It looks like fun :3

I don;t think so, and I don't think they will. Emblems aren't even permanents. There's no way to interact with them at all once they're in play.

True, but they're handy to have in order to remember that they exist. Especially now that there's one that isn't redundant in multiples, and that you can rather simply get more than one of in a game.

Anyway, I'm sure Inkwell Looter will post one soon enough.

That Rage Extractor deck sounds like fun.

I played against a UB control list that ran Army of the Damned as a win condition. I had a whole lot of point removal.

I thought I would change it up a little bit on what was already

Looks really cool. You mind if I ask what your process was for that? It looks like you've just glued the legal text and P/T on top of the other part of the card. I wouldn't be able to stand having that one bit raised above the rest of the card, but I don't think I can cut precisely enough to have them flush with each other and lined up properly. :/

That is a good bird general and I have ben debating it but I still think mono w is stronger

Well, you wouldn't have to actually run any blue cards. Just a small blue splash for your general, and you won't be casting him terribly early anyway. He's only got the one U on him.

I would think Kangee, Aerie Keeper would be the perfect bird commander?

This. And maybe Artificial Evolution to make your token generators spit out birds? As a bonus, if you put it on Darien he actually becomes a bird in addition to making birds.

Also, I dunno how heavy of a bird-flinging theme you want, but Voltaic Key and Rings of Brighthearth let you double up. And I think if you have both out, with a cannon, and you find a way to make infinite colored mana, you can combo out by casting and sacrificing your general. But I think by that point you're pretty deep in Magical Christmas Land.

Made one of those cropped sideways generals for Vorosh. And a sponge, which turned out much better than expected. Grin Have pics, but...iPhone camera, horrid quality.

    Next will be Mimeoplasm.

You should play whichever of the Odyssey eggs wind up being in your colors. Surely there's some sort of recursion engine you can set up to make Fling work? I'm fairly Johnny, but I don't know old cards well enough to help with this. Which sucks because it's an awesome theme idea XD

Whatever colors you play, you have to have some sort of Fling effect or you're doing it wrong. I don't know if those exist outside of R though. Airdrop Condor would be fantastic if you could sacrifice birds for it.

my roommate was talking about using spray adhesive to mount them on something and then pouring clear resin over the top to make into coasters. she hasn't done it yet but that seems sweet. especially if you used them in a game and just kept your beer on top of your general.

As expensive as EDH decks can get, I don't think I'd want a beer anywhere near the battlefield, much less smack in the middle of it. XD
