That's almost definitely never gonna happen. Why would they do that and kill off a chunk of their revenue? WotC make a lot more if I need to get 4 DRS in paper and 4 in digital than they do if I can just buy 4 DRS in paper and scan a code. Plus for it to make sense, each code would have to be unique, which would hit the issue of trading. I open a DRS in paper, scan the code then trade it to you. You go to scan it into your MTGO and it doesn't work because I've already used it.

And those are just top of my head issues.

Yeah I know something like it is never likely to happen, but still I know a considerable amount of people that don't play on modo just because they don't want to buy two seperate collections. Wizards would get more money out of me for tournament entry fees than I ever spend online right now. Also, if the card had a unique code they could set it up so it gets traded into the new owner's account when they scan it. Still just a pipe dream though.

If only they could have made the hologram something you scan to get the card on modo too.

The moment I consider a $130 card worth it is the moment I'm quitting magic. I could see it maybe being worth it if you're a competitive grinder, but I'm not, and most players aren't.

From what I know there is 1 US Legacy GP and 1 Euro Legacy GP each year

Would be nice if they added Canada to the mix!

The thing I don't like about the turn 4 rule is how loose they are with it. There are decks that can win turn 2 right now and can fairly consistently win turn 3. I'm thinking infect and elemetal combo. So what is the rule? Is it decks can't win before turn 4? Or is it decks can win before turn 4 as long as there are common ways to interact with them?

It's really in their best interest to reprint and drive prices down at least a little bit. It's more beneficial to the stores that hold tournaments, which are the stores wizards should be catering too. Because they are the ones that sell the sealed product and keep people playing by providing a place to actually play. Even if these stores sell singles and the value of those singles drop, they're still making money by selling all the special product that these reprints are coming in. So it mostly ends up hurting the online sellers and collectors/speculators, but for the most part they're not the ones that are really helping magic grow.

I'm a student and i had to work 3 months to afford the Rest of my Team America Deck (~1500 $).

This was hard work and i would be very angry if the reserved list would be abolished.

I think Wotc should make the Collectors Edition dual lands tournament legal or allow only 5 proxies of dual lands in the 75.

People are spending 1000 $ to build Jund in modern. I cannot understand this. Maybe People prefer a less skill intensive environment.

Nevertheless i can't understand the complain about legacy prices. Get a Job, Save some money, and when you stop liking your Hobby get ~80 % of your Money back... Sounds great

I really don't think that wizards would reprint in a fashion that would drop prices enough to worry about if they did abolish the reserve list. It would most likely be limited runs of the expensive staples, there'd be a few more around for trading and they'd take an initial hit in price, but it'd only be a matter of time until they'd be back up to the same price.
