Mindmoil is a car I have been wanting to try in mono-red. I like it over some of the other listed above in that you don't have to discard. Scroll Rack is also pretty good.
as a side note - if the graverobber is in a gy and you have Necrotic Ooze in play, you can use both of the nezumi's abilities, right ?
709.2 - In every zone other than the battlefield, and also on the battlefield before the permanent flips, a flip card has only the normal characteristics of the card. Once a permanent is flipped, its normal name, text box, type line, power, and toughness don't apply and the alternative versions of those characteristics apply instead. [CompRules 2009/07/08]
From the way this reads, I would say that Necrotic Ooze could only copy the un-flipped part of the card.
If you have them, why not play them? Do you want to invest in them strictly for EDH? That depends on you. They are a big help for mana-bases, especially in tri-colored decks but you can easily build around them... I for one, have most of them and play them whenever possible.
If you want to see decklist for any of these decks, PM me, I will be happy to share. Several of them do appear in the deck database but may not be my latest list.
A 16 mana, 2 card combo that is easily disrupted! WOW! If you happen to be running both portal and the Flying Spaghetti Monster then more power to you.
Firstly, if you are worried about him getting banned, hold back on playing him a bit. If you always beat your opponent with Emrakul, it will get old and they are more likely to ban it. Point out effects like Bribery or Oblivion Ring that are very good against creatures like him. Also remind them that every EDH deck must have board sweepers and these take care of him nicely.
Two cards that I rarely come up in these discussions: Despotic Scepter and Tel-Jilad Stylus. Both are great against theft effects. Stylus is slightly better as it puts the card back into you deck.
Stalking Vengeance is a new add to the deck but it has incredible potential. I could see it being redundant with Where Ancients Tread. If that proves to be the case I will put Spearbreaker in its place of the enchantment (never can have too many fatties). As for creature theft (which is widespread here) it is fixed with Brooding Saurian. I try and keep Genesis or Paleoth online to keep Saurian on the field. The only place it stumbled was against Dominating Licid which kept my best creature out of action. The biggest problem I have with Brand is that it is a one shot effect. If I were to add something else to stop creature theft I think Tel-Jilad Stylus would be better. I would like to add Anger when I finally track one down...No-one around here has any extra ones and I would hate to order a card that cost less that a dollar.
When I decided to make this my main competitive deck I made a lot of changes...Foremost was the inclusion of Iona and the 3 Eldrazi lords. I also added Piper and Sneak Attack as other ways to cheat out the big boys.
I know that the first person to respond to this post will say Spearbreaker Behemoth and I say that he hasn't earned his way into the deck yet. I know it is good but I have enough ways to recycle my guys so and his ability means that you have to keep too much mana held back for my taste especially with Mayael out. This deck seems to weather mass removal quite well.
Overall the deck has worked out quite well, even against Tier 1 Generals. I recently placed second in a local tournament just behind an Iona deck (a deck that I beat in a pre-tournament match)
From the way this reads, I would say that Necrotic Ooze could only copy the un-flipped part of the card.
R
Instant
Deal 3 Damage to target player
Scry: 3
Kind of a flashback to Magma Jet crossed with Lava Spike
The following cards could be cut.
The smaller creatures are not very good in EDH as a whole and the enchantments that I listed are inferior to other choices IMO
That will make room for:
Carven Caryatid (another card drawing wall)
Auratog & Temporal Isolation an nice combo that can finish off an opponent if you play it right plus Isolation can turn off an emeny general or other dangerous critter.
Moldervine Colak
Saffi Eriksdotter
Karmic Justice
Celestial Mantle
Molting Skin & Broken Fall (these make a great draw engine when combined with enchantress and have a useful effect)
You also need some board sweepers such as Wrath of God, Day of Judgement, Oblivion Stone, Nevinyrral's Disk, Magus of the Disk, Mageta the Lion, Martial Coup.
Also, look for ways to give Uril evasion so he can swing for a quick win.
Good Luck!

When I decided to make this my main competitive deck I made a lot of changes...Foremost was the inclusion of Iona and the 3 Eldrazi lords. I also added Piper and Sneak Attack as other ways to cheat out the big boys.
The Fat: I added the most utility I could cram into the deck with reccuring wrath effects (Novablast Wurm and Crater Hellion), awesome CitP effects like Bogardon Hellkite, Tornado Elemental, and Twilight Shepard, and then the big attackers (the Eldrazi Lords, the Akroma Twins, Hateflayer, Flameblast Dragon (the latter two being solid point removal). Other good fat includes Paleoth for recursion, Oversoul of Dusk, Stalking Vengeance, Yosei, Vigor, Darksteel Colossus, and Iona Angel of Cheeze.
Utility: Bloom Tender, Seedborn Muse, Genesis, Duplicant, Brooding Saurian, Stomphowler, Elvish Piper and Eternal Witness: All of these cards have been gold for me at one time or another. I have dropped Piper early with Rings of Brighthearth into 2 Eldrazi...That alone tells me it is worth it. Seedborn Muse can make for some very unfair turns, add rings and it is pretty much game, she is also pretty good with Mana Vault and Grim Monolith. Bloom Tender is a MVP in this deck, With all of the creature search I run she is pretty much my second Sol Ring (or Grim Monolith/Mana Vault). Scroll Rack is a major card in any Mayael deck, it provides great card quality and gets your fat back into the deck to be cheated out with Mayael.
Overall the deck has worked out quite well, even against Tier 1 Generals. I recently placed second in a local tournament just behind an Iona deck (a deck that I beat in a pre-tournament match)
