We will never see basic duals if you mean lands that can have an unlimited number of slots in your deck. Although I don't think it's impossible for there to be EBT versions of the original ABUR duals, I don't think it's likely to happen as they offer little in any standard format without fetches, and they would be strictly inferior to shocks and original duals in every other format.
What do people think the chances are that we'll see a cycle of lands that either includes Murmuring Bosk or a cycle that functions similarly but maybe without the basic land types or the treefolk clause?
Any chance you can give us any information from that page that we don't already know?
I believe you can read it, I'm just asking if you can help us out.
Honestly, the image is too blurry to make out all that much. Plus, I don't know cards by their japanese names, so even if I could make it out, it would be a lot of extra effort.
Anger of the Gods: 95% of Slagstorm. With a more generic name it could have be in M14. Good card, but no creativity.
The fact that the card exiles the creatures is a rather large difference between the two cards... anger of the gods will be playable in modern if a deck wants a red sweeper that can actually deal with all of the value creatures like voice of resurgence or kitchen finks... slagstorm won't ever fill that role and will rarely if ever be played over pyroclasm
Oh, it's this thread: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=535839
Unfortunately, even though I'm in a Chinese class, I can't read this list yet :/ But I can tell you that this is probably Chinese, not Japanese.
I can read japanese, and I can guarantee you 100% that that is japanese text.
I'd become friends with Renounce the Guilds. Sure it could sac an emissary instead, but chances are good its gonna hit a Domri or Xenagos.
Really wondering what else red and black have in store for us. The appearance of a new 'bolt wouldn't be the most surprising thing in a block with overpowered 3 loyalty PWs lol.
The problem with renounce the guilds is that this guy poops out multicolor tokens... so they could just as easily sac a satyr token instead of him
When Strangleroot Geist enters the battlefield, it's a 2/2. Because it's a 2/2 when it enters the battlefield, its power and toughness are each equal to or less than the Experiment One's power and toughness respectively, so evolve never has a chance to trigger at all. The +2/+0 trigger won't help evolve creatures here.
Yeah, you're right. Just took a closer look at the rulings on gatherer for evolve.
Fairly certain that as long as you order the triggered abilities correctly, such that the battledriver's ability resolves first, the geist will be a 4/1 when the evolve trigger resolves, thus evolving the 2/2 experiment one

When a trigger goes on the stack (say, Sanguine Bond) and you copy the trigger with Resonator, only the next occurance of life gain will Sanguine Bond trigger twice, correct? I saw an instance where a player assumed that once Sanguine bond had been resonated, it was good for all instances of life gain that turn. Also, A copied Hellrider trigger only triggers for one creature attack, correct?
You are correct. You can only copy one instance of the triggered ability, which means only one instance of life gain and only one attacking creature for Hellrider since each creature triggers him separately.
necrogenesis was an uncommon, and this is barely a step up from it...
BNG is a small set, which means a shorter spoiler season

If that were a solid reason, then innistrad would have had enemy color tribal rather than allied color pairings

That's not what they said at all... all they said was that the theros duals wouldn't be as synergistic with the shocks as the checklands were.
