I really feel that Lashwrithe is a win out of nowhere that everyone is talking about. Once you have four of more mana you can play it, pay the 4 life to equip it, then hit for 4/5 infect damage which is usually gg. I relize that everyone has different play styles, but I prefer the extra removal to the other options.

Its better than dark favor but it still is not close to as good as lashwrithe.

I agree with Thunderkiss, Skithiryx is much better in the beck than the 2 Praetors

I would hesitate to remove the lashwrithe because it is one of the 2 cards that make mono black infect worth playing. Try to find a way to protect it, like spellskite, instead of taking it out of the deck.

I feel that Tezzeret's Gambit is far better than Caress of Phyrexian because you can up their counters on many things, more then just poison counters, and you get to draw cards. The Gambit can also be played on turn three before the have a titan out. The only time that the Caress would be good is as a finisher, which we have Skithiryx for. If you have to use it for card draw you are in a bad situation which putting youself down 3 more life and poison counters is not going to help.

This should not even be a debate. The lashwrithe is stupid good in mono-black infect and if you are worried about it being destroyed games 2/3 then do what other people have suggested by siding in spellskite. This card, in addition to the Crusader, is one of the best reasons to play mono black infect so why try to remove it?

My built have lots of creature compared to most built. I use a altars reap which is very useful especially if my creature is on his way to graveyard already. But most of the time I use the germ of lashrite before equiping

This is the same idea I have. I was thinking of it as a 2 of. How many have you been using?

Is anyone here running a build that uses Galvanic Blast and how useful are they?

Here is my list as it is now
    4x Arcbound Ravager
    3x Disciple of the Vault
    4x Etched Champion
    2x Frogmite
    4x Memnite
    4x Ornithopter
    3x Signal Pest
    4x Vault Skirge
    1x Blinkmoth Nexus
    1x Darksteel Citadel
    4x Great Furnace
    4x Seat of the Synod
    4x Vault of Whispers
    4x Cranial Plating
    3x Mox Opal
    3x Springleaf Drum
    4x Galvanic Blast

The questions that I have are is 3 mox opal good or should I go for 4? Is Etached Champion or Master of Etherium the better 3 drop? I am leaning towards the Etched because he seems amazing being pro colors in combination with the Cranial Plating. And what would be good for the sideboard besides graveyard hate? Thanks for the help:)

[QUOTE=Archie;/comments/3161973]I've tried the card out, and I really don't like it. Every time I drew into the card, it just sat in my hand for multiple turns. I would rather have Tezzeret's Gambit as a proactive spell.QUOTE]
How many were you running and were you running just that or that and the Gambit? thanks for the imput

I see what you are thinking there, but it seems way too situational. I would think you would need a lot more creatures to ever use a card like that. I can visualize just sitting with 2 of those in your hand and a crusader or stinger on the board that your hoping your opponent tries to kill so you can use the Alter. It is never a good situation when your hoping your opp has the removal they need.

I just an thinking that everyone want to get to the Lashwrithe badly because it is so useful in this deck and it might be another option in addition to Tezz's Gambit. I would agree with you that 4 would be too many, as you could get the 2 in your hand often but as maybe as a 2 of it would be useful.

Has anyone cosidered Alter's reap as a card draw engine? It has good synergy with Lashwithe, you can sac the token which would die anyway when you equip it to an infect creature. It also can be used if they dismember or othwise try to kill one of our creatures to draw additional cards.
