heartwood storyteller is an interesting treefolk. The main problem with treefolk is that the deck is really limited in terms of card choices.

    Shared Fate.
    Zur's Weirding.
Use one of those, and your opponent will hate you forever.
Alternatively, you could also go G/U Plow Under. You know, that one deck with about a bajilion Eternal Witnesses and Snapcaster Mages? Basically, Scapeshift but slower and infinitely more trollish.

Dude you gotta take your ritual gifts list to FNM but sideboard out your win conditions and side in 4 shared fates

Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger might fit here. He seems kind of clunky but I think he might be playable.

I'm sure there are more. I definitely think it makes the most sense to jump to 4 mana by turn 3, since everything we want to do costs 4 mana.

The body is irrelevant but coiling oracle might fit into this list. Too bad there really isn't any instant speed ramp besides harrow.

I call it Affinity or sometimes Ravager

I think he should have been more graceful. I usually don't rage unless others assume I'm quitting because I'm mad. I recently did a casual draft with friends and realized my deck was complete crap in the first match. I didn't want to play with it anymore after getting annihilated but they accused me of rage quitting and made me play a few more matches (it was double elimination).

I was playing UB Teachings and some guy played this against me turn 1. I think it lost him the game due to the card disadvantage.

(Oh hi INS what a coincidence it was your decklist I was playing ^^)

I'm also continuing work on this where I can. I

I suggest looking at the high tide deck. This seems really similar.

Somebody suggested this in the hidden gems thread but raging river seems really strong when attacking with a lot of trampling fatties. Your opponent splits their forces evenly and then you send all of your tramplers down one side of the river. Unfortunately it doesn't have much synergy, only affects combat, and has a vulnerability to creatures with flying. Over the course of a game though it might give you more benefit than aggravated assault for less mana. I think you should test it in your deck.

Another card I was looking at is wilderness elemental. A lot of people play nonbasics and in a multiplayer game this guy can get incredibly fat. Oh yeah and it has trample. It kind of sucks that he gets weaker the more people you kill though.

Also triumph of the hordes would probably cause you to win if it resolves with stonebrow and a couple other creatures on your board. That line of play leaves you sort of overextended though.

I wouldn't mind a good excuse to play my foil Mystic Retrieval. Convince me that it's worth running.

I really wish it was instant speed. What about if you run quicken in order to make your other sorceries instant speed and if you don't need it for that you can use it to speculate at the end of you opponent's turn?

Also I'm very pleased at the direction INS is taking storm combo in this format. It is slowly looking like what I was hoping grixis teachings would be

Evacuation has saved my ass so many times. Plus it has pretty awesome synergy with Crosis or Bolas.

I was looking around on the forums and I saw an interesting RBU synergy in a similar vein with clutch of the undercity and radiate. It bounces your commander also but it does so much damage and will likely kill at least one player

They're either going to like the way the game plays out, or they're going to move on.

This is basically the foundation for Hasbro's marketing strategy. They get most of their profits from people who drop 10 bucks on a starter deck and then never play again. I wish they would focus more on the people who love the game for it's complexity and mechanics but I feel like there isn't as much profit in that.

If I were to write down my thoughts on the subject, it probably would take me a few hours and total well over 10,000 words. I will likely write and publish an article about this if I win a major tournament with a combo deck, but unless/until that happens, I lack the motivation.

I hope this happens! Just your contributions to this forum alone have been more informative than all the crap I've read on ChannelFireball Starcity etc.

On topic, I think that the best thing to do to get better against countermagic is to just play a lot of games versus control.

I would take out wild cantor. It doesn't seem to fit your plan very well. Also remember that cranial plating gets worse the more nonartifacts you have in your deck

I remember INS saying that he won't be playing this deck anymore due to grafdigger's cage. Otherwise we probably have to maindeck answers to it
