You know... A singleton Ulamog would stop you from decking.....
But wouldn't you draw 6 more cards with Jin-Gitaxis? If Ulamog was the only card in your deck when you draw you'll deck out. Even if you pitch him every turn
Just wanted to say I'm totally on board for Rewind. I changed my Cryptics over and I'm not going back. It's quickly becoming my favorite counterspell of all time.
It feels so dirty to be able to counter everything your opponent does in a turn and still have mana left over to play teachings or pump up a storage land
I think this would be really awesome when it works but it will be frustratingly hard to make it consistent and fast. It's a combo so compare it to storm while brewing
Grats, you saw a misplay. I never claimed to play perfect. If you're looking for that, sorry. If you're looking for good insight on the Modern meta, and the inside of my mind and why I am making plays, then tune in.
I know how hurtful it feels when people call you out on misplays but this is really constructive criticism
I like spell burst. Also I think that a good permission deck with a lot of counterspells played correctly will lock your opponent out more consistently than a lock combo
I think that rite of flame is banned in modern. Also I'm not too hot on goblin king. Mountainwalk seems narrow and since he relies on goblins I would put less of him in and more goblins.

unless you are using a gifts deck with a loam engine

At worst it's an island and at best it can resist land destruction. Also yeah in a pinch it can change the color of river of tears.
My question was what do you think of surgical extraction vs. extirpate?
