I assume Horribly Awry is for the dorks, which is good, but it seems like there are two versions and they're split about 50/50 for being Dork build or Rampant Growth build.

Invasive Surgery seems pretty good as it hits ALL their spells except Kozilek's Return. Delirium would be pretty hard for me to hit, but it still may be worth it regardless.

I had somewhat resigned myself to going underneath, as that seems the only thing that works. What is the clock set at usually for their deck? I know they can get a T4 World Breaker, and T5 Ulamog, but it seems like its usually more like T5-T6 World Breaker, and T7-T8 Ulamog against me or worse. I have been aiming to beat them by about T5-T6, but thats proving a bit more difficult than said lol.

Yea I misread Awry My bad.

You basically have to get underneath them, without falling to Kozilek's Return(which is hard). Abbey is a good plan. For your colors Invasive Surgery is a good one, and Horribly Awry. Since there is not much to interact with triggers or anything that interacts with stack that isn't a spell, you're still gonna eat a trigger(Thanks Wizards).

Thanks for the update. The list is outdated as you mentioned, but its a rough draft. Will definitely make the aforementioned changes.

Whelp, the time has come to jump ship to here. I'm just looking for a pet deck, as I normally play Jund. Storm has always peeked my interest, just shied away from it, due to its complexity. I'm starting with a list from Jon Finkel. So without further delay the list:

In all seriousness, It is fairly meh less they are just forcing 2HG down our throats.

Up vote for Titania. She is just fantastic, and also one of my generals. Regal Force still gets my vote even though it requires a little work.

Nominations that are too early: Nissa, Vastwood Seer aka recurable Phyrexian Arena in green.

I only have one deck that runs snows due to Extraplanar Lens. Current issue atm is I am out of sleeves, due to Tasigur coming to fruition.

I think the endgame is to be able to build whatever commander I am interested in, as Weebo mentioned. So grabbing things from the top 50 list are important, but not necessary. My collect, imho large, but is probably fairly tame to a few people. I really just got tired of carrying 10 different boxes in my bag and having to swap sleeves for shared cards. This just seemed logical.

    Not one general.

EDH generals and their respective deck are extensions of one self. Skill and how one views and reacts to another player and their deck of choice is what makes a general "too OP" (OP words). In 2006, Braids, Cabal Minion was what many consider the pinnacle of powerful when talk about generals came out. Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary was certainly the deck that could match Black Braids. He was in the same conversation. If the players are equally matched, the decks are equally matched if both are built to their peak. These two decks and players would have intense and fairly balanced bouts.

I play A-Typical Zur and Kaalia. Both are considered "Too OP" by others, but in my playgroup, both are the bar. Each of the decks in the playgroup meet me at the bar. None are "Too OP". It is when one introduces these decks to different, unsuspecting playgroup that are neither prepared, aware or skilled enough to deal with the deck and myself (The pilot).

    Keep brewing.

This is so true. I'm glad someone else has this train of thought. We had added a friend into our commander group and we have a blast. As all of us are fairly skilled, and all our decks are pretty much on par. The only thing they have an issue with is my Narset.dec. Which is fair, but irks me a little(which is silly).

What i like the most about ensuring each deck and player are on the same tier is how many times the lead changes.

I recently consolidated nearly eight(2 are currently Stand alone) commander decks and consolidated them into a pool due to a few of the decks sharing cards and tired of carrying like 8 different boxes. I de-sleeved all of them and used Dragon Shield Matte Black sleeves, and use the new Holiday Box for storage. As of right now it is divided by color and Legendary Creatures are put into separate sleeves and set aside in their own section. I'm slowly building a database for each list to put on the inside top for a cheat seat for the decks I have.

My question for those who have done this(or something similar) what do you for duplicates? Some issues are budget reasons, multiple decks running Man Crypt and/or Gaea's Cradle. Also what is your basic land count (if any)? I currently have 24 of each basic.

The goal is to be able to build each deck so that people who don't have a deck can have the fun of "building" and playing a commander deck.

I think the Tango lands are like as OP mentioned fine in two colors and wedge decks they are pushing the limits of your manabase. As most Guild( 2-color)commanders will have a large amount of basics as filler for the mana base. Say for instance Guild Commanders will run 36-38 lands. A manabase will look some thing like this(nonbudget and using my wort deck as refernce):

Now this is to be taken losely as I run Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle so mountains matter a bit.

I like them, and will probably grab one for my Wort, the Raidmother EDH.

While this isn't a Standard concern, I will say for EDH exile is pretty much always required. Having played Sheoldred into Eternal Witness into Time Warp for an infinite loop on several occasions (or bouncing Mnemonic Wall for the same effect) I can say it really doesn't matter how expensive the spell is... it's pretty much a win.

I don't care that you, someone with experience and skill for a format I don't play, make a sensible argument in favour of a clause I, a netdecker, find offensive

I ain't netdecking any of your decks so why don't you go back to wherever you came from?

Well yes; there is that approach. I think that's completely justified; as is the "if you aren't going to play this game for money then GTFO" line of thinking. Sadly, sometimes WoTC does look at the full potential (including *gasp* kitchen table applications) of a card before making development decisions and they seem to have decided that infinite loops are unfun for enough applications that this trumps the competitive edge. How dare they?

I think you make a good point. Spikes aren't the only ones that play this game.

Even if my Narset EDH is glass cannon and has he chance to whiff. It stills scares people, and I don't think I have ever heard anyone go, "OOO, Narset!! This is gonna be awesome!" without being facetious. R&D is doing their best to appeal to a very broad spectrum of players. Even if this isn't quite what I am looking for, they been doing this for 20 years so they have to have some idea of what they are doing.

PS: I also can't afford Capture of Jingzhou or Temporal Manipulation Frown

I run those cards in my Wort deck. They are great at resetting the board when you're behind. I think they are worse when you get to wedge decks or if you are a white splash.

Usually odd(dice rolling) for me keeps me.alive, but lately Mana Crypt hasn't played nice.
