:digi stares at mystery and the waffle iron, the says softly, mostly to himself:
The Waffler.
I can make the waffle iron more damaging. May I, before we continue?...
On second thought, when we get back to the ship.

It would be very wise not to eat those. They are Phyrexian Gremlins. Wonderous creatures. What's even more wonderous is that they are not trying to infect the non phyrexian among us. Ghaal, you are very validated in your weariness.
Magic Maid, why do these gremlins appear to be working instead of spreading infectious sludge all over the ship?

Because after the great Syphon Incident of 2049, you were the only hope for universe to be saved. The counted cross stitch is the only way to knit back the universe that was shred into pieces.
@Syphon, I think I got you...

Welcome aboard the Dreadnaught, or to our unknowing guests the "Interplanar Star". Here we embark on a variety of adventures spanning the entire Multiverse, while alternately enjoying the vast amenities that the greatest planes-hopping warship/luxury liner provides.
If you'd like to join in, but feel behind here's a recap of what's happened so far:
Gender: Male
Apparent Age: Appears to be in his mid to late 30s
Actual Age: Unknown, though he is allegedly over 1000 years old.
Plane of Origin: ???
Appearance: A strikingly handsome clean shaven man around 6 feet tall with a slender build. His signature outfit consists of a tailored charcoal-colored business suit, patent leather shoes, a necktie with a snake skin design, a bowler hat to match his suit and a pair of tinted quartz glasses that more often than not obscure his eyes. He also carries a cane that appears to be made of marble and carved to look like a serpent. It doesn't look like he actually needs it to walk, it's more of an accessory.
Known Abilities: His grasp of magic is astounding. Though he is well versed in all five colors, his two primary colors are white and black. He also commonly practices his own proprietary school of magic that involves animating marble figural sculptures. The true nature of this ability is unknown. Has displayed ability to commune with spirits and pull them into the material realm. Planeswalker.
Background: Lord Grey is the owner and CEO of a vast interplanar conglomerate that deals in countless business markets that span an untold number of planes. His pride and joy is his colossal Phyrexian warship which has been repurposed as a planeswalking cruise liner dubbed "The Interplanar Star". He is in the business of "making dreams come true for the right price". Lord Grey is also a renowned sculptor who specializes in life sized portraiture with subjects ranging from humans to more exotic creatures. Most details of his early life are unknown, even the nature of how his spark was ignited. The only details gleaned about his past is that he was once a member of the Orzhov Syndicate on the plane of Ravnica. Whether he is still involved with them or not has yet to be revealed.
Gender: Male
Apparent Age: Late 60s- early 70s.
Actual Age: Unknown
Plane of Origin: ???
Appearance: A genteel elderly butler that always dresses impeccably in his black and white business suit. His head is overall devoid of hair save the thick white muttonchops that cover his cheeks. He is blind in one eye and wears an ornate monocle over his good one.
Known Abilities: He is a butler with no equal. His magical ability is unknown, though it is rumored that he once transformed a rampaging dinosaur into a sheep.
Background: Jeeves is a very warm and courteous butler who always carries out his duties with the utmost professionalism. Very little is known of his past except that he has been in Lord Grey's service for a very long time. Somehow he always manages to have plenty of refreshments on hand to serve his employer and guests.
Full Name: Alexandra "Lexie" Stone-Grey*
Race: Gorgon
Gender: Female
Apparent Age: 17
Actual Age: ???
Plane of Origin: Ravnica
Appearance: Attractive young woman who likes to dress in plaid skirts and button up shirts, an overall "youthful" look. Always wears some form of eyewear (either sunglasses or goggles) to prevent accidental "sculpturfications". Has writhing black tendrils for hair.
Known Abilities: Innate ability to calcify living creatures via direct eye contact (she is unable to control this power). Also practices Lord Grey's special brand of sculpture magic, though her full grasp of it has yet to be revealed. Considerably stronger than the average human being. Well-versed in armed combat, especially with her signature oversized marble mace. Is a talented painter who occasionally assists Grey with his art projects.
Background: Lord Grey's youngest daughter. Lexie has a very youthful and exuberant disposition, exhibiting very little concern outside of the here and now (much like a young child). Extremely fond of "Undercity Mint" cookies that are supposedly made from her mother's secret recipe. Emotionally unstable, sometimes to the point of violence (especially when someone steals her cookies). Whether she is Grey's biological offspring or adopted has yet to be revealed.
* Ret-con *
Race: Human?
Gender: Female
Apparent Age: 21
Actual Age: ???
Plane of Origin: Terra
Appearance: Attractive young woman with silky black hair and amber-colored eyes. She carries herself like a Victorian-era "English rose" dressing in a billowing frilly dress, an up-do accented with a pair of ivory hairpins, and a parasol that appears to be made of marble. (Overall, think of her look as an alternate reality Mary Poppins)
Known Abilities: Millie is capable of using traditional magic spells though her full grasp has yet to be revealed. She is capable of influencing others through singing, most notably luring throngs of adversaries toward her. She also has the rare ability to see auras and glean information from them.
Background: Lexie's elder sister. Unlike her younger sibling, Millie seems to be insightful, well in control of her emotions, and displays great empathy toward others. The family pet "Austin" (a 60 foot long basilisk) is her constant companion whom she miraculously keeps from making snacks and/or wicked art out of passersby. Other than that, the details of her past remain a mystery.
* Ret-con *
Gender: Male
Race: Goblin
Age: ???
Plane of Origin: Dominaria
Appearance: Looks just like his more well-known incarnation except he commonly dresses in a black and white business suit with tie and wears a bowler hat just like Lord Grey.
Known Abilities: Cabin boy, concierge, driver of various ground based vehicles, ability to regenerate after death, comic relief
Background: One of many reincarnated members of the Weatherlight who serve on Lord Grey's ship. He is a very friendly and personable goblin that manages to take on a dizzying variety of tasks for his employer. Squee always manages to stay upbeat even when things start to get hairy...then he does this--> On the common occasion that he finds himself returning from the brink of death, he always exclaims his arrival with his catchphrase "I lives again!"
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Age: Early 20s
Plane of Origin: Dominaria
Appearance: This incarnation of Hanna looks less "ordinary" than the depictions of her original incarnation. Commonly dresses in a grey-toned bodysuit that is adorned with various patches to signify her rank and achievements (though oddly enough, no one else seems to wear a suit like that). Hanna still wears the same blonde ponytail.
Known Abilities: Skilled navigator, adept at constructing and repairing artifacts and enchantments, supervisory skills, diplomacy
Background: Hanna acts as Lord Grey's Chief Science Officer as well as being an effective Second-in-Command while her employer is preoccupied with other matters. She has a no-nonesense approach to the job and often finds herself chiding the other crew members when they are not on task. This particular incarnation of Hanna speaks with a British accent for some reason.
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Plane of Origin: Dominaria
Age: 25
Appearance: Orim maintains most of the elements of her original incarnation save for a change in uniform color to match up with the rest of the Interplanar Star's crew.
Known Abilities: Possesses an unparalleled aptitude in most fields of medicine, ranging from the mundane to the mystical.
Background: Orim acts as the Interplanar Star's Chief of Medicine. She runs the ship's clinic, taking care of any injuries or maladies that may be inflicted on the ship's crew or guests.

Background: Whimbly is first introduced as Amaya's pet cat, but toward the end of the Voldaren incident proves he is in fact an intelligent sentient being who has taken it upon himself to act as an "expository character". He has foretold the coming of disasters and provided his advise in various situations all the same. Other than that, his past and true nature are a mystery.

Background: Little has been revealed about Zy'l's past other than she is a Tao'setna-in-training (an order of monks). She is a new recruit aboard the Interplanar Star and is always eager to please.
Noteworthy events:
The crew along with some unlucky tourists go off on a Muragandan safari. They get to see some dinosaurs until it is revealed that Amaya swiped some :cookie:s from Grey's dining room table... which were intended for his gorgon daughter Lexie. While already emotionally unstable for reasons yet to be revealed, she goes over the edge when her precious :cookie:s go missing. Their alluring scent draw her into a confrontation with our favorite space pirate which involves plenty of swordplay, calcified T-Rexes, and ... "glomping"? Jeeves (Grey's personal butler/ confidant) saves the day when he arrives with a fresh batch of the aforementioned Undercity Mint Cookies and explains the whole thing happened because of a mix up in the kitchen.
In a momentous confrontation atop a hotel room balcony, Crovax drink's Aurora's magical Lightwave blood and becomes human again.
The Dreadnaught crew flies to Castle Voldaren where they are tasked with finalizing a business deal Grey made with Olivia Voldaren. She delays signing the document and instead insists that everyone attend her masquerade ball that will occur the following night. Everyone dresses up, a deadly game of musical chairs ensues, and Amaya unwittingly becomes "Queen of the Vampires". With her new-found "authority", Amaya asks Olivia to sign Grey's enchanted contract, but the moment she does, Grey appears and states that the contract didn't work. That's because "Olivia" is in fact her twin brother "Oliver Voldaren" and the real Olivia has been sequestered somewhere in the castle. Abby saves Amaya from her magical throne prison, and a big vampire melee ensues. Tibalt is also on hand to throw some devils and an attempted Insurrection into the mix... but is easily thwarted by Aurora's Trickbind. The treacherous Ertai reveals himself as a turncoat who helped in Oliver's coup of the Voldaren throne.
Oliver and Amaya have at it, with the duel ending when Amaya uses her magical armor to give Oliver and herself "infinite weight" which causes both of them to plunge into Innistrad's molten core, resulting in both of their deaths. But Amaya happens to have a special choker that holds her soul which allows her to be partially resurrected. Grey and Squee find the real Olivia and rescue her from captivity. While everyone else returns to the ship, Grey finalizes the deal with Olivia over dinner and a movie... with Olivia's dinner consisting of Ertai's fresh blood served via a spigot lodged in his chest.
Amaya's "soul graft" later proves ineffective requiring intervention from Orim... and Grey.
Amaya takes some time off and teleports back to her ship... shortly before a mysterious group of outsiders mysteriously materialize right in the middle of Grey's office.
Four humans appear out of nowhere and land in Grey's office. They have no idea how or why they got there, but their leader Yuzi Kobayashi wants to discuss business with Grey. Grey offers the rest of them passes to enjoy the ship's amenities while he and Yuzi talk. She offers the services of one of her companions (code named "Jackal" ) divorced from his knowledge to Grey. When he inquires what makes Jackal better than a common mercenary, she proposes that he test his skills. Before he can even think of that, two more visitors appear in different parts of the ship and cause some commotion of their own. A great deal of commotion happens all throughout the ship: a fight between Jackal and Greven, panic over the sight of a "banshee", an overzealous proxy of Grey's trying to kill one of the visitors and ordering a clone of Grey's pet basilisk Austin to "sculptify" a meddlesome elven maiden, etc.) . Then it is brought to Orim's attention that a virus has been detected in the Galleria. This is soon revealed to be a man-made mind-altering virus named "NC-18" (aka: The Brain Void) and it was unwittingly brought here by the six mysterious visitors (they aren't affected by it, but they are carriers nonetheless). In search of a cure, Grey orders the ship to planeswalk to the visitors' plane of origin: a dystopian future Terra/ Earth.
After a thorough scan, they discover a hidden laboratory where a reclusive scientist has been working on a cure for the virus. The group convinces the doctor to return with them to the ship and help Orim finalize and synthesize the cure. But before they can do that, the doctor is shot by an unknown assailant and chaos ensues. Half of the crew manages to bring the doctor to safety while the rest of them fend off a slew of crazed guerillas. When the first group returns to the ship, they are intercepted by Yuzi who draws her sword on the doctor intent on killing him. It is revealed that the doctor was not only responsible for helping create the virus, but he experimented on Yuzi in the process and is deeply remorseful... to the point of allowing Yuzi to kill him instead of working on the cure! Just before she can carry out her revenge, Lord Grey intervenes and tries to diffuse the situation. He proposes that Yuzi allow the doctor to finish the vaccine before carrying out her sentence (the doctor owes a debt to more than just her). When she refuses to listen to reason and presses her attack on the doctor, Grey uses his magic to sequester the doctor and protect him from further harm. The usually amicable Grey issues a grim ultimatum to Yuzi: either work for him to make up for her wrongdoing or be destroyed. In one last act of defiance... and sudden madness, Yuzi denies owing anyone a debt, claims she knows the hidden knowledge to complete the doctor's formula, and that she will be taking that knowledge to the grave. BANG!
...But Grey soon reveals to her that death is no way to escape her debt. In a surreal moment, Grey seems to suspend time as he demonstrates his power of "soul manipulation" on Yuzi intent on extracting the information from her and doling out some spectral justice...
... Only to be unduly interrupted by a skeletal being known as "Shadowalker". This mysterious being insists that Grey stop what he's doing and return his "toy" to him. He reveals that neither Yuzi nor the doctor have the information needed to cure the virus because he very opportunistically extracted that very information from their minds and that he wishes to bargain with Grey for its release. After a very heated round of negotiations and threats, Grey and Shadowalker come to an agreement: Grey constructs a "surrogate" that will act on Shadowalker's behalf in the material realm in exchange for the information to complete the cure, a 10% tithe on everything he earns in perpetuity and his solemn vow to never interfere in Grey's business again. As soon as the deal is finalized and each party holds up his end of the bargain, the Interplanar Star leaves the plane of Terra... quite possibly for the last time. Everyone aboard the ship is eventually cured of the virus and things begin to return to normal.
After the dreadful events of the aforementioned arc, the crew spends some time to rewind and brainstorm on their latest business venture. Inspired by everyone else's affinity to the magical :cookie:s he serves on his ship, Lord Grey has devised a scheme to build a state-of-the-art cookie factory on the plane of Lorwyn. This also marks the debut of Renn and "Zeba" (two neutrally aligned super powered beings both played by DakmorQueen), "Pikachu" a pikachu ninja from the plane of Kamigawa (played by Pikachugundam), and Dave (played by monovfox) a planeswalker who runs a trading post and has the uncanny ability to command legions of bloodthirsty goats.
Accompanied by Squee, Millie, and a small army of Combat Butlers and Magic Maids, our heroes navigate a treacherous gauntlet of traps in hopes of recovering that precious material. After negotiating a series of trials that tested both their bodies and minds, they eventually face their greatest challenge: an army of seemingly perfect clones of themselves. A harrowing battle ensues that results in the death of over two hundred butlers and maids as well as a revelation pertaining to Renn's eternal life. The battle is won, the crew returns to the village with their prize, and the cookie factory dubbed Lord Grey's Divine Confections is finally completed and opened to great acclaim. Though it is a joyous event, it is bittersweet for those who know its true price.
The crew planeswalks to New Phyrexia and confronts her. When they find her they can see her face is cracked, one of her eyes has turned solid black, and that she is twitching. It is originally assumed to be Phyresis, but it is soon explained to be a form of corruption that occurred when her new magically-constructed body was "rejected" by her adoptive plane's anti-magical ecosystem. This development leads Lord Grey to confess that he created Amaya's new body as a way to keep her "reckless and defiant behavior" in check. Feeling utterly betrayed, Amaya begins to act erratically and attempts to flee the scene. The group tries to catch her, but their efforts are thwarted by her implementation of her various magic charms. The space pirate has become a threat to others and herself and must be stopped. Whimbly suggests that the crew try to locate Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite of the Machine Orthodoxy and ask for her assistance in locating Amaya. Norn gladly assists the crew and has one of her angels lead them to Amaya's location. Upon arriving, they discover that she has slain countless Phyrexians and has apparently taken a break to sulk in a corner.
I will update this summary as the rest of the story unfolds.
