I ended up replacing Hokori with Static Orb. I felt like it would be better remove Hokori and put another white card in it's place. I already have at least four 4 drops in white not including my planeswalkers so I felt that having Static Orb would be better. It's cool when you could get Sword of Feast and Famine and Hokori in the same deck but that wouldn't happen that often. I wouldn't say Hokori is a bad card but it's not something that you would see in a smaller cube. With a 360 or 450 cube you are going to find much better cards to cube with unless you are on a real tight budget.

One of the reasons I would even play this card is because he is a warrior so he works with Mardu Woe-Reaper and he is also a human so he works well with Champion of the Parish. Otherwise I'm torn whether this is a good card compared to those other two drops. I wouldn't recommend dropping Pain Seer in place of this card. While Pain Seer isn't as good as Dark Confidant it can still help you get draw at least one additional card. You can usually make a good deck with pain seer where you get at least 1 additional card out of it. I wouldn't replace Pain Seer.

Why type of draw spell would you rather have mid to late game Treasure Cruise, Time spiral, or Stroke of Genius? My friend keeps suggesting Stroke of Genius as a good mass draw spell for blue that is easily splashable and it's an instant just like Sphinx's Revelation. I haven't ever thought of playing Stroke of Genius because it seemed like many people thought it would be too slow and It didn't seem like a card I really need. I just added Time Spiral because I thought it would be a good mass draw spell. I'm not sure if this is a good choice or playing something like Treasure Cruise would be a better choice. Do you need storm effects to make Time Spiral really good or can it do well on it's own? I was thinking of playing Treasure Cruise in place of Time Spiral because of how delve cards like Taisgur and Dig Through Time have played in the cube. You can so easily play cards like Tasigur for 4 mana or less and it seems like you could so easily play Treasure Cruise for no more than 2-3 mana if your game lasts long enough

I'm looking to add Zo-Zu the Punisher into my cube, but am unsure what (if anything) to cut for him. My red 3-drop slot is:

The only one of these I'd consider cutting is the Flamespeaker. I could also potentially cut Blistering Firecat from my 4-drop slot. I'd love some opinions. Smile

What you are asking is a tough decision. I like all six of those cards and I play every one of those cards except Goblin Rabblemaster. I have Zo-Zu the Punisher in my cube and like playing him even thought typically he is only played in larger cubes. In my cube I have decided to keep cards like Alesha out of the red section. I also just added Prophetic Flamespeaker because I thought it was better than Hell's Thunder. I like all of those cards so I'm not sure which one to remove. All six of those cards each fit a different purpose in which I don't know which one I would remove.

How would you rank the other big black creatures being Griselbrand, Tombstalker, Ob Nixlis, the fallen, Kokusho The Evening Star, Massacre Wurm in comparison to Grave Titan. I'm currently running Grave Titan and Ob Nixlis in my cube and not sure if I should add something like Tombstalker. There are many other good delve cards like Dig Through Time and Tasigur that have made me think I should possibly add Tombstalker to my cube as another bog black creature. When can you reliably play Tombstalker with his delve ability?

Flickerwisp vs. Spectral Procession Which one would you rather play in your cube if you could only choose one.

There has become many new human creatures that have been printed since Champion of the Parish first came out. I noticed that all 3 of the black token generators that cost 3 mana are humans. There are many other white and red creatures they also added that are human. I'm tempted in running this card over something like Savannah Lion since that card isn't a human. Champion of the Parish seems like a card where you could at least get him to a 2/2 or 3/3 if you draft enough humans. I wouldn't have thought about running Champion of the Parish before but now I'm tempted in running him.

Rofellos vs. Lotus Cobra If you could only choose one which one would which would you choose? I'm currently running Priest of Titania in place of Rofellos which works as a sufficient ramp card. Do you think Rofellos would be a more important card or should I add the cheaper Lotus Cobra instead? Based on the current rankings of green cards they both end up being rated about the same on power level. This makes me think it doesn't matter so much which one I play.

Out of the new set I'm thinking adding Alesha, Tasigur, Warden of the First Tree and Yasova Dragonclaw. I'm feeling like adding Shu Yun in place of Soulfire Grandmaster. I know many people like Soulfire Grandmaster but I feel like It's not a good enough card that I have to play in my cube. I feel like Shu Yun could be a really powerful card. There are so many good red and white creatures you can target and give double strike with Shu Yun's ability. It shouldn't be that hard to cast a spell while having both Shu Yun and another good creature in play. If you don't have a good target with his ablity you can just target Shu Yun instead.

How does Monastery Mentor compare to Hallowed Spiritkeeper? Would you run both cards in your cube or would you replace the Hallowed Spiritkeeper with the Mentor?

I haven't tried dualcaster mage but it seems like a card that isn't very good. The other red 3 drop from the commander set Feldon of the Third Path is a card I have added to my cube that seems much better than dualcaster mage. I would rather have the ability to make a copy of another creature I have sitting in my graveyard than being able to copy an instant or sorcery spell I cast. Out of the other 3 drops in red I still use Chandra's Pheonix and it can be pretty good if you have least some spells you can deal the oppnent damage with or you have some good planeswalker you can deal damage with. There are times where Chandra's Phoenix just seems like a very basic 2/2 flying creature with haste that doesn't do much because you weren't able to get many direct damage spells.

I play Lacerator over Feeder. We found Feeder to be too lackluster in decks that didn't contain/draw the 'crawler.
I know Carrion Feeder used to be a good card before black had many good 1 drops at it's disposal. Now black has plenty of good cards and I wasn't sure if I should still keep Vampire Lacerator and possibly replace it with something like Carrion Feeder. My friend thought I should add Carrion Feeder and Lifebane Zombie so I have more zombies that work with gravecrawler. I used to have more zombie cards in my cube but I found many of them not to be very good and cards like Geralf's Messenger force you to go heavy black. I thought the whole point of playing gravecrawler was because it was 2/1 creature you could possible recur but even if you had no other zombies in your deck it wouldn't be so bad either.

Inkwell Leviathan vs. Keiga, the Tide Star Which would would you rather play as your 4th blue finisher. I like Keiga because it is easily splashable and when it dies it can steal one of your oppnents big creatures. I added Tinker to my cube so if I switched to Inkwell Leviathan it would be another good tinker target.

How powerful do you think Warden of the First Tree is in comparison Yasova Dragonclaw? I'm tempted to add both because they seem both good for aggro decks. I really like the Warden which seems like a good creature for both golgari and orzhov decks.

    Sarkhan.

I like chandra, but think she's much too slow for hyper agro red, and less powerful than sarkhan in a midrange shell. In non-control, I want hard to remove permamants that still get my opponent dead quick.

Most decks that play a lot of red mana aren't trying to grind your opponent out, which is what chandra is best at.
Red's removal has trouble dealing with later game threats, which means unless you pair her with white or black, her method of grinding is not as good as I like in cube.

She's still great, but sarkhan has more homes, and is probably a tiny bit more powerful anyways.
I decided upon sticking Sarkhan in my cube. I realize he is more powerful and he can be used in any type of red deck. He is a good all around planeswalker that can fit into just about any deck. I had been thinking of sticking Chandra in my cube instead because she was cheaper and I do like her ultimate ability. I wasn't sure how powerful Sarkhan's ultimate ability is. I do like Sarkhan's plus ability which is a lot like Koth. I think Sarkhan works well along side Koth. Where would you put Sarkahn in comparison to those other top 20 red cards?
