posted a message on Mothership Spoiler 5/22 - The First Sliver & Slivers!

Those crazies at Wizards finally did it.

    Source: DailyMTG

    The First Sliver WUBRG
    Legendary Creature - Sliver (Mythic)
Cascade (When you cast this spell, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card that costs less. You may cast it without paying its mana cost. Put the exiled cards on the bottom of your library in a random order.)
Sliver spells you cast have cascade.
    7/7

    Dregscape Sliver 1B
    Creature - Sliver (Uncommon)
Each Sliver creature card in your graveyard has unearth 2.
Unearth 2 (2: Return this card from your graveyard to the battlefield. It gains haste. Exile it at the beginning of the next end step or if it would leave the battlefield. Unearth only as a sorcery.)
    2/2

    Lavabelly Sliver 1RW
    Creature - Sliver (Uncommon)
Sliver creatures you control have "When this creature enters the battlefield, it deals 1 damage to target player or planeswalker and you gain 1 life."
Warm enough to incubate eggs or incinerate those who would eat them.
    2/2

    Tempered Sliver 2G
    Creature - Sliver (Uncommon)
Sliver creatures you control have "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on it."
The question isn't whether slivers will adapt to a world's perils but whether the world's perils will adapt to slivers.

posted a message on “Scale Up” - InvoKando spoiler
EDIT: This card's name appears to be "Scale Up". "Overflow" is the literal translation of the Portuguese name, but that doesn't fit the number crunch.

    Source: InvoKando

Will edit momentarily with English translation.

    "Scale Up" G
    Sorcery (Uncommon)
Target creature you control becomes a green Wurm with base power and toughness 6/4 until end of turn.
Overload 4GG (You may cast this spell for its overload cost. If you do, change its text by replacing all instances of "target" with "each".)

posted a message on Kotaku preview - Giver of Runes
I am convinced Seb McKinnon cannot possibly make a bad piece of art. He’s one of the best in the game along with Magali Villeneuve and Raymond Swanland.

This is crazy. She isn’t Mom since she can’t protect herself, but she’s a Kor who can give protection from Eldrazi. That’s a great flavor win.

    Quote from Ritokure »
Serra down, Urza down. Just one more to go. The biggest bad of them all. You know you want to do it Wizards.
Ugin had its time to shine - it's time for the REAL Ineffable to hit the scene.

I would be fine even if they just gave us Gix.

Are you Pondering what I'm Pondering? Unfortunately this is probably not going to see much use outside of Limited.

posted a message on Mothership Spoilers 5/21 - Enemy “Canopy Lands”
A cycle of Horizon Canopy-esque lands that produce enemy colors and can be sacrificed to draw a card.

    Example:

    Sunbaked Canyon
    Land
    T, Pay 1 life: Add R or W.
T, Sacrifice Sunbaked Canyon: Draw a card.
Since the river ran dry, travelers wander where fish once swam.

That right there is some amazing utility for just three mana. Basically 4 power's worth of creatures and a draw two effect, which is not too shabby.
