Jay13x posted a message on Aether Revolt General Discussion (Spoilers Allowed Here)Posted in: Magic Storyline
Aether, eh? If only there was some sort of metal infused with the stuff. An Aetherium of some sort, mayhaps. And if only Tezzeret had access to the stuff.Quote from Caranthir »Quote from Jay13x »The real question is what was Tezzeret looking for on Kaladesh? Rashmi's invention only barely made it to the fair, he couldn't have known it would be there.
How I see it is that he (or Bolas) had a knack that with such creative environment full of inventors and innovators, there WILL certainly be something worth, well, stealing. That it, in the end, happened to be the material transporter, was just a lucky result.
What is more interesting for me...the Planar Bridge works on aether technology, and it could apparently work only with an immense influx of aether, and when Tezzeret activated it, the whole aethersphere of Kaladesh shook with turbulences. It almost seems like it (activating the Bridge) would be a feature achievable only on Kaladesh with its unique properties - much like no other world that the fully metallic Mirrodin could ever serve as world-sized spark transfer lab. So in the end, what use is the planar bridge core to Tezzeret? They would have to find a similar vast source of energy, if they ever want to use it. Of course, if they can use any mana...

Smuggler's Copter? No problem! We simply unleash wave after wave of Aethersphere Harvesters. They'll wipe out the copters.
And don't worry, we're prepared for the Harvesters, we've lined up a fabulous type of artifact creature - construct ape next block that thrives on killing 3/5 flying harvesters
And the beautiful part is, when wintertime rolls around, the apes simply rotate out

For people complaining about alerts, any chance we could get screenshots of those with actual addresses and stuff to see if we can figure out if it's on our side. -

parinoid posted a message on Where have all the threads gone?Hey guys and gals,Posted in: Magic Rulings Archives
We've created the Magic Rulings Archives to act as a repository to store all our old threads.
A recurring problem of late has been people finding old threads and dredging them up by posting new questions or comments in them. Of course, that was against our 'no necromancy' rule that stated a thread was considered dead and buried after 7 days of inactivity.
Now we'll be periodically moving old threads into the archive. So, while you can still search and read them, you won't be able to post in them.
That means as of this moment the 'no necromancy' rule is repealed and you can now post in any thread in Magic Rulings, regardless of age.
Please keep in mind that the regular spam rules still apply, so posting in solved threads to repeat answers, or asking unrelated questions in old threads is still considered spam and will be handled accordingly.
Thanks,
