Well, if devotion ever becomes a thing again... (Doubtful since it's high up on the storm scale, but...)
Devotion is currently at 4 in the storm scale so not far high, said that this is just a GG for devotion like plentiful other cards, just his ability is really color intensive
Ah, my mistake. In that case, I wonder if we're going back to Theros sooner rather than later.
Soul Sisters might want to try this. Of course, I say that a lot and it never happens, but this becomes a nice budget alternative to Serra Ascendant in that deck.
That is a POWERFUL card for monoblack decks. I'm not sure how practical it is outside of Standard (thanks to things like Iona, Shield of Emeria), but this might make it in Standard.
That is a really good signpost card for Elementals...it'd be nice if a return to Lorwyn was in the cards because this seems like a great lord for that creature type.
Core 2020 preview season is upon us - we've already had the three Chandras revealed back on Tuesday. The mothership has once again posted a list of content creators who will be previewing cards between June 17th and June 24th:
To bad the guy is dead and we won't see a another core release base on him with 3 copies of him in one set with modern planeswalker abilities.
(snip)
Now that i think about it, wasn't gideon introduced as a romantic interested to chandra? what happened between them since nothing romantic really happened?
Not exactly, Gideon was introduced as a new mono-white planeswalker since Ajani was no longer it after Ajani Vengeant was printed (though he did have some mono-white cards printed in core sets afterward).
I think this is the first plus ability emblem? Looks good. Will definitely look to getting some for either Grixis or Jeskai control
I believe this is the first. Gideon of the Trials has a 0 ability that grants an emblem, but there haven't been any other planeswalkers printed that grant an emblem for a cost that adds loyalty.
I like that they synergize with one another, and unlike most Chandras, they aren’t terrible on their own. I also LOVE Anna Steinbauer’s art on the younger Chandras.
Yes, "destroy target player" is a flavorful way of stating "target player loses the game" (a la Door to Nothingness). For all intents and purposes, those two phrases have the same meaning.
It's just regular oil, made from dead dinosaurs, hence how the fountain becomes a Dinosaur creature. Ichor refers to the blood of the gods in Greek mythology, and it's not a stretch at all to imagine that the Sun Empire (which, of course, worships the sun) would think that this strange black liquid they found is similar to that.
Ah, my mistake. In that case, I wonder if we're going back to Theros sooner rather than later.
Get your playset of Primal Beyond now, because I see a price spike incoming.
