I'm not completely sure if this thread should be put on the cube thread or here but i figured since were gonna be making cards this would be the right place.
My idea is to make a community cube with anyone willing to participate.
Right of the bat we've got to ask ourselves some questions. do we want a storyline, or just a fun cube, where should the power level be and do we want say 5 certain keywords we are allowed to use, or can we use whatever we fell like?
my bad it has to be an instant. i tried to post this twice more but it screwed up. so i shortened it and forgot to mention it only works with an instant. you only need 1 blue for the orginal remand. just copy it afterwards with guildmage.
the ritual combo would go like this
1. cast ritual
2. copy ritual and let the copy resolve adding RRR (do this again and again for infinte R)
3 cast bolt/other instant burn spell and copy it for lethal.
alternatively you can draw your deck with a instant draw spell like the izzet/azorius charms, remand and more, by copying the an infinite amount of times.
how expensive is this deck compared to other legacy decks. if it isn't to expensive id probably consider testing and making it since i am budget (#school).
you don't need lava spike to go infinite with desperate ritual. remand can draw your whole deck by targeting it and it's copies at desperate ritual copies (countering the copies making you draw).
idyllic tutor package or isochron scepter?
path might also be woth it alone. i played against kiki pod and finks kicked my butt. a the also boros charm is sweet.
last but not least is forked bolt which i like quite a lot.
do you want a more "powerfull" deck, or just a more fun deck.
if the first you should consider if your going aggro/midrange/control/ramp/other
also do you have a budget/mind changing a fair amount of your deck?
cards i would play you have mentioned if your going aggro: 4 syndic of tites, possibly basillica screecher, x vampire nighthawk (depends on meta), x plains, x swamp, other BW duals, vizkopa guildmage (mostly for the fun factor, it's a bit expensive).
a cube that has the cards sorted in commons, uncommons and rares/mythics
you choose rarity a card has.
a pack is made out of 11 commons, 3 uncommons and 1 rare/mythic.
you could also make one that has multiple copies of caertain cards
hey, i was thinking of making a either peasent or weaker (with rares) than normal cube, but im afraid of of black missing 4-5 drops if im going peasent. what are your thoughts on this?
also how do we feel about using previously printed cards?
