It is okay. I mainly run it (and top) as trap cards that other people rush to pick, and then I crush them while they are screwing around with the top of their libraries.
Post #2 and totally nailed it! (Though to be fair, I don't run it. I just have been in that seat countless times in other people's cubes.)
I agree that the group will adapt to Cheatyface pretty quick. My group has even adapted to Topsy Turvy at this point, which is impressive given the difficulty of playing this game backwards. I think it is fun to keep in a module, assuming that you will not be playing with it all the time. That will extend its fun time considerably. It is not an 'all the time card'.
Super Secret Tech could be pretty good in a cube like mine, which is 31.8% foil. That gives the card a lot of play. If I recall, your cube is close to 100%, which changes it a lot, and makes it less interesting.
7th and Odyssey are too literal for me. No imagination. But I like all the others. Portal is awesome though the text is a bit confusing for newer players. I think M14/M15 have wonderful, bright foils, so if you want a foil, I would vote one of those. No foil, Portal.
Now that I have seen all the new fetches, have to say I like most of the old art better. Somehow looked better on screen.
We used to run most of those cards but have now cut all but Ooze, Primus, Plow, and Pillage, and the lands. Basically everything that does only LD. That said, we still get a LD deck in most 8+ man drafts: Pox, Stack, Strip Mine, and Crucible form a wonderful LD deck. At least for our group, having one LD deck is plenty.
Never liked Morphs. But I guess we shall see! I would change my mind if that Arena morph was printed! I am super happy for wedge cards for my multicolored cube, but I am pretty cool on this for regular cube till I see something actually pushed.
The 2/1 for 1 that has a high morph cost but a big flip effect would be awesome thing, so I have not lost all hope.
Cool card. I think what made it so bonkers in VMA was getting 2-4 of them. They chain really well, and if you splashed for Rites of Initiation you could end the game on the spot. I think it is sadly too under-powered for a singleton environment. Actually, Rites may be the more interested test case for regular cubes.
At 450 I run the following B 3cc creatures:
Bone Shredder
Geralf's Messenger
Hypnotic Specter
Master of the Feast
Ophiomancer
Vampire Nighthawk
We did test Marauder and did not find it amazing, so it was cut awhile ago. I also used to run Lili's Specter, and might put it back in over Messenger depending how things go.
Spear has been pretty great here. It is at its best in tokens, but has also been very good in aggro (particularly boros aggro). Turning your gobs of 2/2s into 3/3 is just massive. As for tokens, yeah it is amazing with 1/1 fliers, but it is just fine with 1/1 ground-pounders. Spear into Elspth, Sun's Champ is insane, and it pairs well with Symbol Status, Tempt with Vengeance, Myr Battlesphere etc. None of that is counting it's active ability, which has come in handy in places we did not expect, like UW blink-control. It is currently not on our chopping block, a solid mid performer.
1)Blood Scrivener vs Inquisition of Kozilek vs Tombstalker ? What is the order of preference?
Those cards are so different which such different goals, I am unsure how to respond. What do you need? Scrivener provides sorta ok card advantage (though not enough for us, so we cut it). Inquisition is good disruption. Tombstalker is a solid finisher. Which of those most helps your list?
4) Hellkite Overlord > Broodmate Dragon (if you are running NO and reanimator, if not I would not run either)
1. Manic Vandal
2. Keldon Marauders
3. Chandra's Phoenix (unpowered, but I would prob run Rabblemaster or Borderland Marauder over it)
Skeleton > Tombstalker > Horror
Entreat > Dragon (Currently I dont run either at 450)
Ancient Tomb > Reflecting Pool
Fireblast > Firestorm
Dack's Duplicate > Izzet Charm = Electrolyze
I agree that Charm is prob the better spell. We ended up cutting it in the short term for Dack himself, and keeping Electrolyze because of our emphasis on tokens, and because it is a bit of a pet card. We may switch it back to Charm, but wanted to test it this way.
After the huge discussion (and some what derailing) of the Pelakka Wurm thread, I wanted to make a place to discuss Green Super Fatty MCD so that future users can easily find the great information that has been produced. Hopefully other users will be willing to copy and paste their great posts here for others.
For the purposes of this thread I will define a Super Fattie as a creature costing 7 or more mana, usually having a large stabilizing impact on the board. Below is a list of contenders for that role in cube in ALPHABETICAL ORDER:
I tried to include a wide net so that as many options are on the table as possible. Please to not assume that these are created equal or that you should rank them all! I will add new options as they appear. I am sure I missed a few!
I hope we can have a great discussion about the merits of these and more below!
I am just catching on this back and forth, and wanted to chime in that I am also quite surprised by this revelation. I feel usually when a new set comes out I want to test a bunch of C and U cards, a few rares, and usually an auto-include mythic (those darn auto-mythics). Given that I guess I'm surprised that ppl search for new cards with rarity filters. Floored actually. But it is very interesting to know. For M15 the three cards I am most excited about are C/U (plus hornet tokens!).
This thread has gotten very far off path. I shudder to think of how hard it would be to find this thread as a new cube manager looking for Green Fatty Info. I suppose I'll make an MCD for that so we can make this really great info easily available for future users.

Courser of Kruphix
Sylvan Caryatid
Pile B:
Restoration Angel
Abrupt Decay
Eidolon of the Great Revel

3x Temple of Triumph
Pile B:
Thrun, the Last Troll

That said, will try to get a foil set this time around. Can't afford to miss it.

I like the pack foil for all the titans best, though I think frost is close.
