Phyrexian Arena
Kamahl, Pit Fighter
Ertai, the Corrupted (with Kev Walker's art)
Momir Vig (new art)
Garruk, Apex Predator
Ruric Thar, the Unbowed
Konda, Lord of Eijango
Rhys, the Redeemed
Dark Depths (new art)
Legacy Weapon
Mirari (new art)
Final Judgment
Jin Gitaxis
Memnarch
Vojak, the Elderhorn
The token is a reprint of the Marit Lage token but obviously doesn't have the *****ty swirly foiling (although it's still vague as hell)
It seems like it's an EDH focused / lore focused, with Dark Depths and Ruric Thar as legacy shoutouts (I guess Jin Gitaxis if people still play him in Reanimator? They usually play that B/R 6/4 instead though) and Rhys, Mirari, and Memnarch are the key EDH cards as far as I know but I don't really play EDH. I had never seen Final Judgment before and that dragon dude is goofy as *****, glad I skipped Kamigawa block.
I have no idea what Vojak does other than that he costs 4GG and his art is some burly looking kinda viking dude but with a single giant deer horn/multihorn thing on one side with the other side broken off, but half the card was missing. I saw all of these in a quick Skype session my buddy started at work. I was on my phone and didn't think to take a screenshot and tbqh I don't know how to do it on Android anyways so I realize I ****ed that up and I'm sorry, I'm sure no one is gonna believe me until these things get spoiled but whatever. These were all from crumpled and torn prints that he pulled out of the trash (the backs all said "discard discard discard discard" on them it was kinda funny) so I had to do a bit of sleuthing to figure out what Memnarch was since I didn't have the top half of him too so maybe something is wrong on here but I doubt it. They went back in the trash because he didn't want to get busted but he's spent a while working there and was finally stoked to be in a position to share stuff with me.
At first I thought there was too many new arts but after checking magiccards.info I guess Legacy Weapon got a new art in 10th edition, which this printing uses, which makes sense from a Lore standpoint I guess because now they have Urza represented kind of. They totally should have printed Blind Seer though.
Really bummed to see that Volrath/Greven/Crovax/everyone from Rath is missing since that's my childhood and the Lore I gave a ***** about rather than THE SUPERFRIENDS meet randos on a plane that do nothing, although I guess Arena/Ertai/Legacy Weapon is like 3 Rath Cycle / Brother's War dudes.
Overall this looks better than FTV:Legends/FTV:Annihilation because of Dark Depths but otherwise I was disappointed.
Also I had no idea what the **** this was until FTV:Lore was mentioned today because the test prints he had were not foiled and had no set icon so I kinda thought he was ******* with me until I recognized the Vig art. IDK how this affects #mtgfinance things but good luck with your specs.
Also meant to post this yesterday but I got blocked by the anti-spam bot. throwaway for obvious reasons
Them winning wouldn't be a problem if they made the eldrazi feel threatening, like a legitimate force, zendikar should of been destroyed in the process or at least one of the walkers should of died.
I really don't get this at all. Zendikar was very nearly destroyed, as in the land itself nearly gone, whole continents scoured clean most civilizations consumed. Millions dead (or if the population isn't that high, then probably 90-95% of what used to live)
Why does the last scrap of land and resistance need to be snuffed out before we can declare them to be a bona fide threat?
Devi's advocate: Since the Eldrazi are touted to be 100% plane-eating threats, seeing them be 90-95% plane-eating threats makes them seem weaker than expected.
It also took them years to do that. Gods WOTC couldn't possible be worse writers if they hired Stephenie Meyer and whoever the **** wrote 50 Shades
Why does it seem like people are assuming that Fall of the Titans is happening tomorrow or next week? As if there's not a ton of work, planning and fighting to be done before March comes and they actually execute the events shown on the cards?
Anyone else had trouble getting cards that shouldn't be that tough to get?
it's started to get insane for me, i have a list of tons of cards from low value, all the way to high valueish ($30) and i haven't been sent ***** in well over 2 weeks. It's starting to feel like i'm shadowbanned or something.
Every reason they ave given as to why this change is happening are mind numbingly stupid but this one, this one right shows that no changes are being made for the betterment of the game, just personal biases.
"While we are keenly aware that tuck is a great weapon against problematic commanders, the tools to do so are available only in blue and white, potentially forcing players into feeling like they need to play those colors in order to survive. We prefer as diverse a field as possible. "
THAT'S THE ENTIRE ******* POINT OF THE COLORS. Not every color should be able to deal with everything. With this logic they should ban all mana ramp, all counterspells, all edicts, all burn, anything at all that any color doesn't have access to.
I'm willing to bet soon enough stealing commander with mind control or whatever will just send them back to the command
zone.
EDIT: And now like half a dozen commander are probably on some watchlist to be banned because they got rid of the best answers to them.
Can Wizards take the banlist away from these {explicit}. Removing tucking is hands down the dumbest thing they have EVER done, and that's impressive seeing as like every single banlist change they do something stupid.
