G/u devotion By gordy12791 Aug 17, 2014 Category Icongordy12791 Blog 0 I've not played a huge amount of standard this year, but when I have one deck I've tried to make work is Green Devotion. This deck was strong but felt short of a tool or two, but with M15 it got some really nice additions in chord of calling, reclamation sage, nissa, genesis hydra, painlands...it's a long list. So long that you can't actually use all of them. One route that's been talked about is to maximise the genesis hydra and go G/r with planeswalkers, with hydra finding domri and xenagos. This route is powerful, but chord of calling has no place in such a list (tutoring hydra with it is bad, hydra flipping it is bad, domri flipping it is bad, etc.), which I'm sad about because chord is itself an insanely strong card. But when it can't get the main CA engine in your deck, i.e. Garruk, and has anti-synergy with many of the other best cards in your deck, it's just not so good. Of course, there is another big CA engine for green: DeckMagic OnlineOCTGN2ApprenticeBuy These Cards 4 Yavimaya Coast4 Breeding Pool4 Temple of Mystery4 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx5 Forest2 Island1 Mutavault4 Elvish Mystic4 Sylvan Caryatid4 Kiora's Follower1 Voyaging Satyr3 Boon Satyr2 Courser of Kruphix3 Polukranos, World Eater3 Prophet of Kruphix4 Chord of Calling4 Prime Speaker Zegana1 Reclamation Sage1 Nylea's Disciple1 Progenitor Mimic1 Sylvan PrimordialSideboard1 Boon Satyr1 Polukranos, World Eater1 Sylvan Primordial3 Nylea's Disciple3 Reclamation Sage3 Garruk, Caller of Beasts3 Setessan Tactics This has performed surprisingly well for me so far.
